title is misleading, it's more a commentary on the practicality of imposing such measure
only player quoted was Weatherford-
...several Giants players questioned just how silent Payton has been this season. Punter Steve Weatherford expressed a common sentiment when he said, “Of course he will get his message to them somehow.”
Weatherford added: “I’m not saying anything about Sean Payton as a person or anything, but I think any coach would do that. It’s not like he’s just going to sit at home and watch the games and not have any thoughts. His message will be heard.”
His comment wasn't in an accusatory tone but that "...any coach would do that."
More it is a writer scrounging up something
different in regard to the Saints and bountyfarce. The whole issue that he certainly could communicate if he wanted to and likely do so undetected we have discussed. The risk being so great and the team performance as off as it has been I hope he hasn't. Maybe after a few games he could have told Vitt to get Ivory in there and remind Petey he has to run the ball more.
