I'd say Cam has lived up to expectations. And he's a good player. Not a playmaker though. We need the guy who stirs the drink (using blues' words) not just more defensive players.

what qualifies someone as a playmaker? He's constantly in the backfield and shuts down his side of the line on the run. He's arguably the best in the NFL at what he does (playing the run) while still providing a good amount of pressure.

If we want a playmaker, we better be looking at taking a great OLB or someone in the secondary who is going to force turnovers

That's it. Cam is great against the run and can get in the backfield on occasion. I think he'll be even better in the 3-4. But he's not a guy you scheme around on offense.

When I say playmaker, I'm talking about those DeMarcus Ware, JJ Watts, Aldon Smith, Ed Reed, Darren Sharper, Clay Matthews, Troy Polumaula, Terrell Suggs, Patrick Peterson, JPP type guys.

I know those guys don't fall of trees, but I think there are a few guys who can be playmakers in this draft. IMHO
