I woulda traded Ingram for defense when he had some value and kept Hightower for another year or so until we find a serviceable UDFA Rb....
Or kept Ingram , signed Adrian Peterson , and traded next years 2nd rd pick for another Rb?

for all I know.. Ingram ends up having a career year and AP is just a second fiddle.

What will probably end up happening with the luck this team has is everyone gets hurt by week 6 and we are starting Cadet out the backfield

I mean it depends on the season. If Peterson comes close to matching Ingram in carries it means we are in for a really good season. Not because Peterson is going off, but because we are building leads and using him to close out. I just don't see a scenario where we are relying on Peterson to carry the heavy load to build a lead or Keep up with another team. That has never been nor will ever be Payton's offense. He only runs the ball to keep the defense honest.
