once every 10 years or so the NFL goes collectively insane in the draft and great talent inexcusably drops. last night multiple teams lost their mind to overdraft mediocre QBs and solid, but non-elite WRs

the Bears, Titans, Chargers, Panthers, Bengals AND Chiefs all went 2007-level Britney crazy and a top-5 talent at a rare position WHICH IS OUR BIGGEST HOLE ON THE TEAM fell to us at 11. as Saints fans, we should all be sending thank you cards to these retarded teams for fricking up the top 10 in a way you may never see again, so that we could be given a gift that, again, we may never see again as Saints fans

the utter randomness and insanity that it took to have Lattimore fall to us at 11 seems almost like the providence of some god

It was like watching the last week of the 2007 college football season as an LSU fan. Literally every crazy thing that needed to happen in their favor, happened. Every QB and WR drafted was a gift to the Saints.

Literally NO ONE predicted 2 fricking QBs, 2 RBs and 3 WRs (!!!!) to go in the first 10 picks of a shitty QB/shitty WR/Deep RB draft.

It could not have gone any better. We got lucky as frick that the league lost its collective mind last night.

Can't believe 3 receivers went in the top 10.

Mahomes not only went top 10, but a team traded up for him to do it

It was fantastic luck and Lattimore is a great pick. The only issue of concern is his injuries but that is a part of football. It could happen to anyone at any time.

MSB topic, but Mahomes lucked the frick out going to KC. Great D, solid offensive players, and Andy freaking Reid as his HC. Plus they have Alex Smith so he won't be pressed into playing immediately.

It really is.

And tonight could go great for us as well, considering that there 2-3 OL that could have gone in the first that could go before our pick here, and a few CBs that could go when we really don't "need" to draft another one this early.

Could have guys like Bowser, Willis, Basham fall.

only about every 21 years saints get the best cornerback in the draft at 11.

I get your point. I was just partial to him because he has been a monster on Alabamas line

I might be getting it in my old age. Second year in a row I mocked the pick. I also predicted that they would have a choice between Allen, Hooker, & him.

I think the ST NFL IQ is declining with the reactions to these picks. Seems the LSU to ST trolls are at the highest I can remember in some time. Oh well, they'll be gone by Sunday and they'll be better discourse.
