Rob is just part of the problem. Mickey Loomis should be fired, and Sean Payton should have any personnel decisions taken away…he should just coach, and he’s a great one. Loomis and Payton have made a series of horrible decisions which have set this team back. Browner being the latest disaster.

Jeff Ireland is a good in house replacement for Loomis and had a good relationship with Payton. If Sean can't work this way, then trade him.

BTW, you can fire Loomis now and promote Ireland.

You really think Loomis is making personnel decisions?

I think the Saints are on to something if they keep both on board.

We need to somehow lure someone away from the Patriots organization front office.

Bahaha, you want Jeff Ireland as your GM?

That worked out particularly well for the Fins.

Why divert Ireland's attention?

Make him in charge of personnel decisions and drafting. That's it. No need to complicate his job.

Loomis and Payton are making decisions together, and terrible ones at that. Keeping Ireland doing scouting won't fix the problem. Loomis has to go..payton should just coach with the team given to him.

The reason this team is such a mess is because of Payton really with Loomis as his co-conspirator.

Yeah, I think Ireland is the best choice, cause he has a relationship with payton. This year's draft was the best in years...

Exactly. Ireland just pulled in our best draft since 06 in his first year with us. Don't change a thing he's doing.

It's the promotion to mediocrity problem.

Say you have a factory that produces circles, squares, and triangles. When you excel, they promote you to another shape.

So the best circle maker in the world is promoted to making squares, which he only does slightly above average.

Eventually he is promoted from squares to triangles where he is at or slightly below average and that's where he stays. Thus the company suffers at every level.

Instead of having the best in the world making each shape, you have people better suited to do other things performing below average at tasks they aren't cut out for because of promotions in job tasks rather than pay scale.

that's hardly to be deteremined, and you don't know who really called the shots about kikaha and other later picks. We did hear stories about his influence on the peat pick.

Who's gonna stop the Browner and Byrd decisions? Among many more.

Everyone on here and in the nfl came themselves over Byrd

I don't care if Loomis is fired or not, but I don't think promoting Ireland to GM, a position he already failed at, is the right answer

So far, he seems perfect in his current role

I didn't, as people may remember.

Seemed like a lot of money for a safety, when we didn't have enough up front.
