I wouldn't say this team's in win now mode either. That's why they are cleaning up books hardcore this year.

Chicago has Ryan pace, he's in his 2nd year and had to clean house bc he was left a shite storm. We should've promoted him and fired Mickey
While we were signing James laurenitis, he was out getting Danny trevathan and jerrell Freeman on team friendly deals.
Laurinaitis is getting paid peanuts compared to Trevathan who is out indefinitely right now anyway. He is a year younger than freeman. I don't really see your point here, youre comparing apples to oranges.

While we sat on our OL, he went out and overhauled their shite OL and got manny Ramirez, ted Larsen, Bobby massie and recently josh Sitton. He let high priced vets like bushrod and forte walk
Who will clean up our mess and save us in the coming years?
So he overhauled their oline? Did you watch that game on Monday? Their oline is much worse than ours.
And for the second part, we don't really have any high price vets left, so we are ahead of the curve on that one. I guess byrd would qualify by years played...? I can't think of another "high price" vet that is on roster other than brees and I know you aren't pointing at him, at least I hope. Strief is arguable I guess, he escalates next year, but it looks like his dead money hit isnt outrageous if we cut him. We didn't really have another option and I'd like Brees to keep playing and not be out with finger injuries bc his oline is absolutely horrible.
I'd rather be going into 40 million of cap space next year, thanks. I wouldn't trade our situation for the bears on any day of the week.
