Not based on any sources. Just based on the press conference

Brought up Nick Saban and Miami

Well Rap did say Payton was staying, so maybe ESPN is on to something

"There's a reason he's addressing this at 3 pm on Wednesday". "Maybe loomis is trying to get teams to offer more".

Saying he thinks we're using this to drive his price up for other teams

ESPN did not say that. One guy on the show covering it said he didn't think it was over.

You're right, a person on ESPN said it, not an inanimate corporation.

I guess I should have specified that. I can see where that could be confusing /s

Are you fricking serious?

Well he works for ESPN. You're right, but kind of splitting hairs.

ESPN really is turning into the TMZ of sports.

Not sure of the guy or host's name. It is on NFL insiders.

Still talking about it

Every time they report that he is staying they end it with "for now" or "it appears". They just don't want to let it die.

Didn't mean to offend you but saying espn is saying it's not over makes it seem like it was the majority opinion which it wasn't. Just that one guy brought it up and stated he didn't think it as over.

And the host and the guy next to him agreed.

I mean everyone knows how ESPN works. They talked about him still possibly leaving and it not being over for several minutes.

They just want to have a breaking story so they're trying to keep the "smoke" in the air.
