-2.5 is insane. Given that home field is worth at least 3, that puts us at almost 6 point underdogs. SF coming off a short week into the Superdome with a concussed QB into a "revenge game" scenario. Somebody explain WTF is going on here...

Saints defense.


Saints have a much improved defense. And SF isn't exactly a high octane offensive machine, even with Alex Smith. On a neutral field I can see a -2.5 spread, but not in the dome. Saints win this outright.

Call it a homer pick, but I see it all coming together and us blowing their fricking doors off. We moved the ball at will last year against them once things settled down after their initial surge/huge hit on PT.

I haven't seen the O/U published yet, but what here's what I do know:

1) By game time this will be either pick 'em or Saints +1.

2) The Saints have covered in 6 of their last 7 games.

I would take the Saints and 2.5- while you still can.
