Eardrum piercing loudspeakers in the dome

Guys,
I am nearing the breaking point of the ear piercing speakers blaring music after every freaking down. It has caused my game experience to become miserable and full of headaches. I cannot have a conversation with my guest during timeouts or to discuss the play/formation in between plays.
I sit in the first few rows of the upper box, and am wondering if its because of where I sit as its nearest the speaker. For the people sitting in the loge or the plaza, do you have the same issue? I am wondering if the overhang of the terrace shields the sound from those in the loge.
I literally have to shout to talk to my guest during timeouts, and its annoying, so I am finding myself going the entire game in silence.
Anyone else experiencing this in the loge or plaza?

Earplugs will save your hearing.

The superdome does a lot wrong. The speakers are too loud (speech). Strangely enough it's not as bad when music is playing.
The announcer is amazingly annoying. He's absolutely terrible.
Lastly, the food is below average in most areas of the dome (although there are a few decent places on the plaza level). But, it would be nice if it was consistent.
Overall, the dome really just isn't trying. All of the things I mentioned would be easily fixed.

Got a survey in the email today. The loudness of the music is one of the things I bitched about. It is ridiculous.

I am thinking of saying something as well. Whatever happened to just letting the natural progression of the game dictate crowd interest? I don't mind the music but do we need a 10 second bit every single down? Whatever happened to just on 3rd down?
Is it loud everywhere????
I just filled out the survey too

Benson probably can't hear shite anymore so he makes the Superdome staff crank it up. I bet the TV in his house is full volume too.

I was there and also couldn't hold a conversation. There would be points when I would start telling a friend something and then just give up because it was obnoxiously loud after every down

He blows. It's all about him with the stupid gimmicks. Colston catches a pass for 4 yards and he has to yell Coooooolllston. Saints stop the patriots on third down in the 4th qtr of a preseason game with 15k left in the seats and its a "FAAAAAAAN impact play!"
Bring back his dad.

It really is amazing to look at the things that people bitch about when you're 1-3
If we were 4-0, people would be on here saying 'man the dome was ROCKING last night, I couldn't even hear myself think'

Nope. I bitch very little, but the PA guy blows. I never complained about his dad. I don't complain about the food because I can avoid eating it. Can't avoid the PA fool.

It's just trivial, and should have no say so in your enjoyment of the overall experience

It's less the loudness than it is the quality of the speakers. They are garbage, so the volume is more disturbing to the ears as a result. If they would invest into quality speakers, it would be less damaging and require less volume as well.

They may need to take some mids out of the EQ

I really don't see how anyone can complain about the food.
It's really improved a lot, unless you are in the upper 600's and just have that one vendor.
The plaza and terrace concourses have really stepped up their offerings, the BBQ stuff is decent, shrimp poboy is pretty good (needs real french bread and I like the BBQ nachos and pork belly poboy.

Guess you missed the discussion.

I did. That's encouraging! It's been the one thing I have emphasized on every survey they have sent me

Instead of playing commercials during the 4th down timeout, they should have been trying to pump up the crowd
