He's playing solid but I wouldn't say elite. Though I don't think it's all on him. He's pressing a lot of throws that seem to be really bad passes because I think he's anticipating routes. He just lacks chemistry with the WRs he has and they're honestly not that great. OL is also making him uncomfortable.

How many multi-TD games has he had this year? I don't think he's thrown more than 2 in a game which is honestly surprising.

Bottom 5? I would be willing to bet we have the worst. It's amazing how bad our corps is

I disagree. You put an Alshon or AJ on this offense, and it would be a night and day difference. Cooks game would improve as well as Snead. Add in a Martellus Bennett and we would be sick.

Adding a top 10 receiver and a top 5 TE would turn around most receiving groups

The thing that is missing is the Touchdowns. When the offense has been great, Brees probably would have had 10-12 TDs over that timespan.

Honestly, except that he seems to be unwilling to push the ball 40-50 yards downfield, I don't think that's Brees' fault.

It feels like we are one weapon short of this offense really taking off.

Agree with all this. He's my fantasy QB and his low point totals reflect otherwise to his coming around. He's rated in the 20's. Those short underneath throws and lack of td's shows the truth. He may be hurting and dealing with it, but it just goes to show he's so well rounded he can almost adapt his game accordingly...but not to he point of dominance. I firmly beleive it's alot to do with the poor receiving core as well. There's just alot of things keeping this team from being elite. Drew's not carrying this team and this team can't overcome a low talent offense.

He's 7th for QB's in terms of points over the past 4 weeks despite getting big leads and running the ball the last 2 games.

And despite the called back and dropped TD that led to an Int

And it is fantasy football . He scored 12 points last week in large part b/c we were up 27-0

playing "OK"? sure. "On Fire"? No way.

He played really well against the Falcons and Cowboys. Padded his stats in the 2nd half of an arse kicking in Philly, and really wasn't that good against Indy.

Credit him for cashing in when the Saints got back to back possessions starting inside the Indy 30 yard line, but otherwise, the Saints offense had only 3 good drives all game. Morsted punted a career-high 10 times last week! 5 came after 3 and outs. Plus, the Colts bailed him out big time with a penalty on a horrible pass that was intercepted in the endzone.

Brees hasn't been bad, but the results of the last 4 games have more to do with the improvement of the defense (outside of the Philly game) than Brees' play.
