The Saints’ wide receiver depth chart is so full of young players that the experienced veteran of the group, Brandin Cooks, is 22 years old. But Saints quarterback Drew Brees is not concerned about that.

Brees told the New Orleans Advocate that young receivers Willie Snead, Brandon Coleman and Michael Thomas are, along with Cooks, perfectly capable of picking up the Saints’ offense and playing the way the Saints need them to play.

“I am not worried about the inexperience, if you are just talking about years and games played,” Brees said. “I feel like the time on task between all of us is pretty significant when you are talking about the practice reps and the time that we spend away from this facility together. I think they’re quick studies; they’re all hard-working guys that are very smart, intelligent and hungry.”

The Saints’ passing game was good last season with Cooks and Snead as the top two wide receivers, and the addition of Thomas in the second round of the draft should help. There are questions about whether the Saints’ defense will be good enough, but Brees thinks the offense will be as good as ever.

Note: Grain of salt meet Brandon Coleman.

Drew is always positive about his WR's. Since he has never had Pro Bowl WR's, and still performs at a high level, I guess we are fine with this group.

i have very little trepidation about our top 3 WR's. 4 and 5, we'll have to wait and see, lots of opportunity there for competition.

My biggest worry is when we need a 3rd down converted or in the red zone, we can't convert. First half of the year was the definition of inconsistent

I'm actually very excited about the wr's as a group this year. I think there's an argument that this is the most talented the group has been as a whole since Brees and Payton have been here. Outside of QB they are my least concern going into the year.

If we can get better blocking we will be a top tier offense again.

IF we can keep Drew upright

Run the ball and don't put that much pressure on the young receivers

That's because he won't be here next season.

Do you even walkons, bro?

Brees is part owner. Rumor is he's closing the offense for "repairs" next season.

How can you be worried with Fleener, Cooks, Snead and Thomas ?

The only worry on offense is the guard play....its so bad we have to play Peat out of position !!!
