Drew Brees is only 488 yards behind Dan Marino

For third all time in career passing yards. I know I've posted what he needs to be number 1 all time in both passing yards and TDs, but Drew needs 3 more season and average 3645 yards/year and 37TD/year to be number 1 all time in both. Brees is currently 3,000 yards ahead of Brady and Brees and Brady are tied at 428 passing TDs, but Brady is suspended the first four games and Brady is 39 and Brees is 37...

Let's hope his body holds up and the OL holds up so he can surpass that mark.

Brees will own every major passing record when he retires. Incredible considering his size.

And he still doesn't get the recognition in the media he deserves! I hope he shatters both records and SOMEHOW wins another super bowl

He'll get the yardage mark if he stays healthy. Not totally sure about the TD mark as 37 TDs in any given year is a lot for him, much less 3 years in a row. He might fall short of that one.

Crazy we've only gotten a first round bye twice in his 10 years here considering how weak the NFC South has been.

Because Brees is not a team first player.
Great guy, but selfish

Does anyone else not give a shite about these stats?

I, for one, care about his numbers. Given that the team might suck, Brees racking up stats might be the only thing we get this year.
The guy went out and won the only Super Bowl in Saints history, which I appreciate. There are still quite a few franchises that haven't won one, and most/all have better overall numbers than the Saints do. He deserves everything he can get.

He's a first ballot hall of famer. No one will mention these stats other than for Aflac or Geico trivia questions.

Leader in all time passing yards and passing TDs isn't like some chump record like when Drew was on the consecutive game with a TD pass streak (but even that garnered some attention). I would say it's on par with some big baseball records like all time HR leader and HRs in a season leader.

Yall should want Peyton to hold these records. He's more of a New Orleansan than drew could ever be.

Peyton can keep any passing records he has from Newman. Drew isn't after those.

Brees won't hit the TD record but he will the yards record
