Sorry if Germans - I didn't know this about him.

I admire that he keeps it to himself for the most part and doesn't bash it down people's throats.

I think that makes him a better Christian than guys like Tebow and Warner who are overbearing.

I like how the media respects his private life. You don't here too much about his private life in the news. I am not surprised he has a strong faith system. Just look at all what he does for the people in new orleans. I don't think he does it for a publicity stunt.

He's not a horrible person - I never said that.

I think Brees is a more mature Christian in that he doesn't ram it down people's throats.

He does things for the right reason and never really preaches about things like Tebow does. Example: "I'm doing this BECAUSE IM A BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN".

Drew just does awesome shite all the time and doesn't say it's because he's a Christian, etc. He just leads by example.

As somebody who was raised Christian and is really struggling with my faith for the past few years, this is so refreshing to me. Warner and Tebow? I've known guys like that my whole life. It turns me off to Christianity. I don't want to hear some a-hole thank his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for helping him win a game. That's so disingenuous and ignorant and makes Christians look like retards.

Brees has never done that crap, and the way he carries himself makes me think "wow - THAT'S what a Christian is."

Tebow and Warner don't exactly "shove it down your throat" , they just wear it on their sleeves. I'm alright with that, too. I told a FB friend of mine that this is just another reason to love Drew Brees when she posted that vid. He's the Brees Knees.

I think this is more because he leads a pretty normal "boring" life. If it ever comes out that he's banging horses on his neighbors farm, then yeah, there's be a media firestorm. As it is he just kind of hangs out, and that's not very interesting for most.

What does this mean? I've never known anyone to give it a thought, one way or the other.

true. I think if the Saints win the superbowl, companies will be requesting him for endorsements.

With all due respect, if people are turning you off to Christianity, maybe you're focued on the wrong thing. Just saying. People will always let you down sooner or later.

I don't think that's his motive; I think he's responding to the Christian call to witness best way he knows how. And yes, it will offend some people.

I've always been a huge Brees fan, especially after what he did in New Orleans after Katrina. Never did I expect a man so humble to be such a major part of millions of people's lives. I have great respect for this man. He and his family are very respectable people and will always have my support.

we obviously disagree on the dfeinition of "shove it down your throat"

They should take the thing (faith) that is central to their being and hide it and not let you know what drives them? I've never heard either one of them preach. You think you know that they are like other christian role models who have let you down?

We brand our own lives with labels like "LSU Fan", "Saints Fan" and talk about that fact, fight about it, defend everything about the teams we follow....but KW and TT shouldn't talk about their faith as much? Ok.

fail.

He spent the last three summers before enrolling at the University of Florida in the Philippines, assisting with his father's orphanage and missionary work. And he's done numerous things for charities and non-profit community organizations around Gainesville for the past four years.

And no, cameras didn't follow him everywhere he went. Most of it goes unreported on.

You call Tebow and Warner overbearing???? You have no clue about this kind of stuff do you? All three guys are great. It's better to tell someone of your convictions, especially if you are in a place of influence like these guys. Hats off to them.

When you feel strongly about something you want to share it to the masses on how that makes you feel. There is nothing wrong with a man having strong convictions about his faith or anything else for that matter. Lots of times we lose the fact that this country was founded for religious pursuits and based under God. If you don't agree to what he is saying thats your opinion but he have the right to say what is the driving for in his life. And trust me he is not doing it to jam it down your throat but is giving praise to His Lord.

Yet another reason he is well-deserving of his nickname, Breesus.

Just like the first Catholic, Jesus, Brees is apparently not perfect. I won't hold it against him.
