I didn't see this posted. Basically it looks like there are rumors that the Chargers will trade Rivers and picks to move up to #2 for Mariota.

According to Pro Football Talk, rumors about the Chargers and Rivers started last month and while some may see it as "farfetched", the talk has not died down.

local reports had the team interested in working out the quarterback ahead of the draft. According to ESPN.com, the Chargers have scheduled a private workout with Mariota and the team could consider trading Philip Rivers to move up to take him.

The Titans would get draft picks out of the deal along with Rivers and it also would allow the team to decide on whether they want to keep Rivers long term.

Not sure if that would make us want to trade up to #5. But Mariota going #2 makes either Williams, Fowler, White or Cooper available at #5.

Mariota in SD appears to be a great fit. Te'o could hook him up with a few of his ladies friends

The two QBs and a run on WR would be just what the doctor ordered.

Moving up in the NFL draft is fool's gold. Considering the inexact science that is the draft, having more bullets is better than having one big bullet.

They've said several times that they look at the player more than where they are picking and they try to get the best value by moving up or back to get the guys they really want(within that value).

yes, and this is how the draft should be played. If there are 2 guys left on the board from their first tier of players with 4 picks still remaining before we go, then a trade up is very likely. However, if there are 2 left when we pick, then it's likely we trade back 2-3 slots if available to gather extra picks and still get one of those 2 targets. It's too fluid of a game to be predicted prior to it being played

I have seen the rumors about Rivers for the #2. I could also see the Bears trading Cutler and the #7 for #2. The Titans reportedly had some interest in Cutler and he played college at Vandy.

Cutler to Tenneesee makes a lot of sense.

Philly wants to unload Bradford though and I doubt they would have traded if Tennessee wasn't prepared to make a trade for him.
