Does Brees deserve it?

I love Drew, but I say no. The 3 other qbs who are at the top, that he will have passed up if he does set the record, all played in the Super Bowl that very season(of which 2 of them became Super Bowl Champions).
Who wants a record without the spoils/wins. I love Drew, but I find it hard to support the record chase, cuz we suck ( and I dont blame it on the defense, so I dont care about excuses cuz our offense blew several games too!).

Why does everyone insist on taking away from what he has the opportunity to accomplish. He did what had to do on offense, he cant play defense too. If he breaks it then yes, he f'n deserves it.

Of course he deserves it without him the saints would be horrible because first off we cant stop any one on defense. Second he is the best qb we ever had

don't forget kicking. with solid kicking we'd be in the playoff hunt, and w/ good special teams play we also win minn and chicago. and leading the number one offence in the league means he deserves it.

Chicago... Vilma int., Fujita w? late game int. and offense can't hold onto the ball for a f-in 1st and D goes right back out there...

frick that bullshite!!! Drew Brees absolutly deserves it!!! it doesnt matter what the saints record is. there is a chance a saints QB can hold the record for most passing yards in a season!!!! in 10 maybe 20 years from now people will look in the record book and see

It comes down to this. It does matter what-so-ever how the team finished when it comes to this record. Just because some people are pissed that they didnt make the playoffs doesnt mean what Brees has done isnt spectacular. Bottom line, Brees throwing the ball + rcvrs catching the ball = yards and possible record. Its that simple. The record, playoffs, whatever, has nothing to do with it.
And when your team has the #1 offense and leads the league in scoring, trust me, its the defense.

Yes he deserves it and he earned it along with the rest of the offense.
I never liked the idea that a player could never make All-District, All-Conference, or whatever because his team had an average or below average-record and that only the players on winning or playoffs teams deserve more credit.
