If he focuses some of that anger towards opposing quarterbacks instead of women from here on out I have no problem with it.

We are trying to form a football team, not a clergy

Dude, no.

And we're not bringing Sharper back.
And we're not gonna inquire about Hernandez.

Here's a better question -

Is he even allowed to play? Feels like he's under investigation for who the hell knows what. Probably already suspended.

More compared to Rice rather then Sharper and a murder don't you think?

Yes. One year deal and make him live in a kennel until gameday.

This defense needs some real firepower. A guy who can beat the oline. Our d-line will get abused if we dont do something. This is expected with our lack of depth, we made our bed, now we are being thrown on to it. If we dont address it, it will be a real blackeye for us.

Has anyone not paid attention to this dude since his days at Ole Miss? Not only is he a woman beater but he's a piece of shite, locker room cancer. Greg Hardy only cares about Greg Hardy.

quote:

In 2008, Hardy helped Mississippi beat defending national champion Florida 31-30. Hardy had 1 1/2 sacks and 2 1/2 tackles for loss, and he made the cover of Sports Illustrated, shown pressuring reigning Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow.

One week later, he was benched midway through the Rebels’ 31-24 loss to South Carolina.

“We expect so much from Greg Hardy because he’s a difference maker, and he’s on the cover of Sports Illustrated one week and we want that guy to come back,” then-Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt told the AP. “We want him to come back every Saturday.”

quote:

The previous season, Ole Miss had suspended Hardy indefinitely for missing team meetings. He was reinstated two weeks later, after apologizing to coaches and sending an apology to reporters.

Hardy’s talent and athletic ability – he also played basketball at Ole Miss – were elite. But his behavior, streaky play and injury history, plus questions about his work ethic and time missed with minor injuries, gave NFL franchises pause.

At the 2010 NFL scouting combine, the same question kept coming up: Hardy told Sports Illustrated that every NFL team asked if he was bipolar.

“With the Panthers, they asked me, ‘Why is everyone saying you’re bipolar?’ ” Hardy said. “I didn’t get clinically tested for being bipolar. I’m not bipolar. But that’s the kind of questions I got all combine.

“I’m not crazy, but you walk into a room and people ask you that question.

quote:

“If I’m a sixth-round pick and I go out there and get 20 sacks, what can you say to me?” Hardy told Yahoo Sports before the draft. “You have to pay me anyways. I’m gonna get paid.

quote:

And Hardy is a rapper. He posted six rap songs to a music-sharing site in 2011, and at one point last fall he agreed to let the Observer listen to him rap in a studio, although that session never materialized.

In his song “Out of My Mind” from 2011, Hardy raps that “everybody thinks I’m schizophrenic.”

“I lost my mind, I still haven’t found it,” Hardy raps as part of the chorus. “Used to get high but I’m still well grounded.”

Man, frick a Greg Hardy. This would be Junior all over again. The team doesn't need that headache.

I don't mind my DE being a psycho, thats the guy lining up across from him's problem lol. For what its worth Hardy went back and took classes at OM during the off-season (actually sat in classes) so he's at least got some sense and speaks to his level of commitment as well.

Nick Fairley has a few arrests under his belt

Hardy has to sign a prove it deal, he wont cost much. If he fricks off send him packing, nothing lost. Just like Fairley

Not really, because what screwed us over with Junior was the contract. You don't offer this guy a big money or a long term contract and then you have very little to lose. He either produces or you cut ties. If he produces and wants a big contract next year but you still don't trust his character, then cut ties and address DE in the draft and offseason. This would be a short term, temporary fix.

We are pretty desperate at DE. You bring him in for an interview at least and make a judgment IMO. If the league says he's clear to play then you explore your options.

In terms of locker room character, yes it would be.

You mean like the Cowboys did?

quote:

In addition to a base salary of $573,529, Hardy makes a per-game roster bonus of $578,125. With four games played, he already has earned an extra $2.3125 million, which he’ll be paid whether he’s cut or not. And he’ll continue to earn the extra $578,125 per week, along with his base salary, at $33,737 per week.

Likewise, Hardy already has earned a workout bonus of $1.3116 million, which he gets regardless of whether he’s on the team for the rest of the season.

Ultimately, only one aspect of compensation hinges on Hardy being on the roster through the end of the regular season: His incentive payment for sacks.

At eight sacks, he gets $500,000. With two more, the total becomes $1 million. At 12 sacks, the total is $1.4 million. For 14, he gets a total of $1.8 million.

Yet he still acted an arse in Dallas. Is immediately getting into with teammates on the practice field & pushing a defensive coach during a game, really worth it?

quote:

Dallas Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy got into an altercation with teammate Davon Coleman at practice after Coleman called him a "woman beater," according to Rand Getlin of Yahoo Sports. Coleman's comment came in reply to Hardy reportedly questioning his effort in practice, according to Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports. That's what set off the altercation.

Hardy may have more to worry about than just the one teammate. There is "some concern" that Hardy has "put himself at odds" with other members of the Dallas defensive line, according to Getlin. There have been no reports that anybody else was involved in the altercation, save for the teammates that had to separate Hardy and Coleman.

1) Hardy will never play in a Saints uniform

2) If they did contact/sign GREG HARDY before DREW BREES gets a new contract then fire everyone and sell the team to Mark Cuban because that kind of organizational incompetence is just too much
