Let's just call it like it is.. Brees is as elite as they come not trying to take anything away from him. and to say they he has not as good as these 3 guys is not a knock because they are the best in the business by a significant margin. But Brees often gets mentioned with these 3 and it's just not there, these 3 win every year and make the playoffs and contend for Superbowls every year. There are no down years and I don't want to hear that they have more talent around them because that is untrue aside from possibly Rodgers. Brady and Manning have took teams to the playoffs with little to no talent around them. Brees is inconsistent and does not get us to the playoffs every year nor provide winning season's every year. Once again he is a first ballot hall of famer and the greatest Saint ever, but just not on the same level with these 3 guys..

The difference? Well not too much. Brees is slightly better but looks alot worse because this oline is terrible. When we had an elite oline, we won the superbowl. Period. All of the above teams have good olines. Until we get one brees will struggle.

Brees with an elite oline was the greatest QB to ever play the game. He demolished manning in the superbowl. And crushed brady that year as well.

Oline, an elite QB, and a serviceable defense is the key to a superbowl in the NFL. We have a few more years left with an elite qb. We need to get some elite lineman this year and patch up the defense with WISE DRAFT PICKS. Sure we could go PBA, but if your elite QB has no time throwing the ball to omari cooper, then what good does omari cooper do you? (Seriously tho, if we get a chance to draft cooper, ill be pissed if we pass him up)

Brees is always asked to be perfect because:

1) Our running game is only a thing every other year
2) His defenses are routinely far worse than Brady/Rodgers/Manning defenses
3) His receivers don't get separation

And for the last three years his OL has played poorly and he doesn't have the mobility of a Rodgers to overcome speed bumps where his O-linemen should be.

These two have always had more talent around them than Brees.

To say that Manning and Brady are "significantly" better than Brees is flat out wrong imo. Brees has been the best QB of the last 8 years.

WTF is it with this board? Yesterday Rantards demanding Brees be traded, today Saintards calling him tGOAT.

Actually aside from one play -- missing an open receiver in the middle and forcing a throw to an injured Wayne -- PM had a great SB against the Saints

Manning is 6 foot 5
Brady is 6 foot 4
Rodgers is 6 foot 2
Brees is 6 foot 0

Brees seems to need that extra split second of protection due to his lack of height. He also does his best when he can step up in the pocket and throw. Pocket development seems to be much more critical to his success then maybe the other guys.

Our O Line is pitiful. When we can give him that pocket, he is dominant. When we can't, it hurts.

Also, Brees in his best years has always had a check down guy hanging out in the backfield to bail him out. It was Bush. It was then Sproles. PT has done that somewhat this year, when he's played.

I have never a day in my life been against brees. No one left on this boad as of taday will be against brees. All of the bandwagoners have packed their bags and left saints talk until next season as of yesterday after they were done bitching the saints out. Now that they are eliminated from playoffs, those rantards are no whers to be found. Brees has done so much for us. Not only through football but through his hard work and leadership. He brang this city a spark of hope when it was devistated from katrina

Well, he may be a little older, and yes, his skills are declining. But the problem is clearly more of the offensive line than Brees. He just needs to make a few better decisions, which would be easier if he had more time

Brady and Manning also signed deals that did not exploit their teams while being fairly compensated.

Mannings has a so called great year. Brees worst year Ever. Same number of picks. With brees having way worse offensive line and terrib weapons. Hmmmmm but brees is not elite

Brees won't start making more than Peyton until next year.
