Here's an article from walterfootball.com on one of the Saints UDFA's.

quote:

Tavaris Barnes. Barnes (6-3, 275) was a rotational player for the Tigers as Clemson has had a loaded defensive line over the past couple of years. The senior totaled 19 tackles with three sacks, one forced fumble and five tackles for a loss in 2014. The 6-foot-3, 275-pounder impressed scouts and evaluators enough to earn an invitation to the NFL Scouting Combine. Many teams have worked him out privately and shown heavy interest. That list includes San Francisco, Tampa Bay, New England, Arizona, Houston, Seattle, New Orleans and Tennessee. Sources say that Barnes has a lot of physical talent and they are hoping to land him on their roster.

I'm back to liking Walter again

But he does sound interesting. Seems we picked up D-line UDFA very well this year.

Yeah, that's at least 3 guys, along with Richardson and Eulls, who had draftable grades.

Yup.

Bringing in some guys with a competitive fire I hope.

Last years draft didn't bring in a haul of players to compete and push our guys and it showed.

We have good competition now on the D-line and a even better shake up in the LB'er corp. Add PJ and Swann to compete at CB.
And of course the 15 players we have at safety to compete for a few spots and we are looking a bit better heading into mini camp.
