LINK

Current Saint and former teammate of a dual threat running back works out with him in California and convinces him to come here. Sounds familiar?

For the record it doesn't say he talked him into coming here, but you know they had to have discussed it.

Mile Triplett literally has hated everything we have done. Pretty sure he doesn't know anything about football.

Pretty much since it's his article and if you go read any of his other articles about the saints, it's pure disagreement on everything they have done.

He's always been one of those reports that like the popular names. He's always going to go with the move that gives the team the more popular player. But, overall he is one of the better reporters that covers the Saints (not saying much); most of the reports can only retweet other people's stories/news.

You'll find 75% of sports news media is reactionary and biased. That's what make ESPN and Bleacher Report popular even though they are actually pretty shitty.

It's all biased psycho babble bullshite. Just trying to get to a word count.

And clicks. Ever notice how some of the local mock drafts force you to click multiple times just to get to the players they project we will take?

And here I am trying to get people more pumped about Spiller by trying to bring back memories of Sproles' first year here.

I'll have some of that Kool Aid. I think Spiller has the possibility of being better than both Bush & Sproles in his new role.

It'll be fun to see. Sproles was electric his first year here but fell off quick in everything but the passing game (though that was still declining too).

Here's to hoping Spiller can be more consistent.

He may not have the same type of year Sproles had, but I think he keeps us from being predictable when he does get in the game. Unlike Sproles or Bush, he is a threat to run it between the guards on a regular basis.

Spiller has a higher ceiling than Sproles. If he stays healthy he's going to be incredible for us. He's a home run hitter.

If you want to read some hack journalism go to nfl.com it's a bunch of morons writing about the saints.
The continual jab at trading Sproles is so pathetic. He was no longer worth what we were paying him. We know that because we watch the games. He goes to philly and has a couple big plays and suddenly "how could the saints let him go" yet at the end of the season when he disappeared no one said a word. It's sad really. All the want is flash and clicks. No legitimate substance and thought.
Further more hurrah the seahawks got Jimmy Graham and everyone is anointing them super bowl champs but they lost 2 offensive lineman a CB a LB and a DL.

haven't really been able to fully envision Spiller yet. First thing is I imagine he at least doubles his career average of 2.3 receptions per game.

472 are the most rushing attempts in the Payton era so it might be tough for Ingram or him to get 200. 150 @ his 5.0 career avg would be 750 yds. Plus 500 yds receiving, oh yeah.

Kickoff returns? He had 10 last year for a 30+ yd avg.

Bigger than any stats will be the threat and how Payton needs a player like that to exploit defenses.

Mark krigel is the worst. I remember watching their coverage of the jimmy graham trade all he said was the Seahawks just got jimmy Graham like they gave the saints an old $5 hooker. He didn't even look at what they gave up.

But I don't really go on NFL.com that much

Don't forget Cooks, Blues. Sproles and Bush never had a guy on the same or opposite side with similar homerun threat abilities. This should spread defenses pretty thin. We need to find a guy who can take the top off now and be the deep threat. That's why the Stills trade still baffles me.
