Brandon Coleman beat Delvin Breaux deep in team drills. Probably the best/most surprising play today, but Coleman has looked good so far

In nickel, Klein moved to Mike in nickel and Te'o came off the field. Payton said yesterday that would happen.

Wasn't Te'o very good vs the run all his career and only was positive in coverage last year?

The Saints moved WR Travin Dural from NFI to the active roster. He did some team drills today.

The DT group got some good push today. Rankins and Onyemata looking explosive. McDaniel had a PBU.

Best play at Saints camp Friday was a toss-up between three receivers fighting for fourth and fifth roster spots. Brandon Coleman got wide open deep down the left sideline behind CB Delvin Breaux for a long TD pass. Corey Fuller held on to a long TD pass after the ball was initially batted around in heavy traffic. And Jake Lampman made a terrific lunging catch between two defenders near the sideline. Coleman and Fuller both stood out a few times during Friday's practice. That could be an intriguing battle for the fourth WR job all summer.

No major lineup or attendance changes to report at Saints camp Friday. In base defense, Manti Te'o remained the starting middle linebacker, with A.J. Klein at Sam and Stephone Anthony at Will. Then in nickel defense, Klein moved to Mike, with Anthony at Will. Anthony had a few more nice moments as he tries to earn a starting job in his third different linebacker position in three years.

OVERHEARD: "Today is the most fun I've had playing football, I think. I appreciate every moment," said Saints linebacker Michael Mauti, who just re-signed with his hometown team this week after stepping away last November and undergoing a series of three surgeries to treat his longtime battle with ulcerative colitis. "I knew if there was a way, I'd find it," Mauti said.

Very, but I also wouldn't overlook McDaniel. A steady vet like that will be a good teacher and stabilizing force.

Also liking Anthony getting a crack at Will. I didn't think they'd move him there with (formerlly) Ellerbe, Robertson, and Anzalone all vying for that spot.

Ellerbe getting hurt again might be one of the best things to happen to Anthony and the team. It was only a matter of time before he went down again so it happening now is great (not for him; that sucks).

I wouldn't rule Robertson out of the race for a starting spot yet though. I see Anzalone as just a rotational guy in year one and I think that's a good role so he can come in fresh and make plays.

not saying we should or would but a Robertson cut only saves actual 300k in cap. Dudes a baller... Will be a strong competition between anthony and robertson. I guess they see Anthony as being a guy who can have a long term future here so trying to develop him.

at least WR 4 and WR 5 thought to be weak are actually doing really well. Between Coleman, Fuller and Lampman among others.

Lattimore had a really good day today, technique was on point.

CJ is a huge help for the WRs

DLine got nice push today and gwachum had moments.

Grayson's mechanics look much better and the accuracy was really good

The best news out of training camp is no Bill Johnson, Joe Vitt or Greg McMahon. I am excited to see what Nolan can do with the LBers.
