Pretty insane statement that we would implode without Graham.

Implode is a strong word, but I think we lose a couple more games due to close scores & last play games. Could happen in the regular season or it could happen in the post season (hopefully not). Graham is a weapon and not many other teams have a weapon like him or someone who can match him on the defense. He makes those close games at least one or two scores more out of reach.

if you look at it from the snapshot of Seattle game, i can see why he might draw that conclusion, but we sucked all over the place that day.

This team needs some WRs to step up and be a threat on the outside. Of course im not saying anything this board hasnt already beaten to death.

Even when Graham was shut down we were a semi-decent offense. Obviously wouldn't have been great but "implode" is a stretch.

to even be middle of the pack would be an implode, considering what we are used to

didn't help that there was a 40 mph wind either. Lets the defense focus more on the short routes and middle of the field

Colston showed up, but that was it. I blacked out in the 4th quarter, so my recollection may be off

Did he forget that we won a superbowl without him?

Not saying I agree with this guy, but we had more offensive weapons that year. Last year, our offense heavily relied on Graham. If we didn't have Graham this year, our offense would be worse, but it would still be decent.

ETA: this whole Graham situation makes me even more happy that we drafted Brandin Cooks

Neither offense was doing much in the air for most of the game. Once the wind and the rain died down, and Drew took off those stupid gloves, we started moving the ball.

I don't know if I agree that we had more weapons. I think we just utilized all the talent we had more than we do now. Drew seems to focus on Jimmy to a fault sometimes. Jimmy is a great weapon but the Saints offense has been great not because of the talent but because of we spread the ball around kept defenses off guard. Now we focus on one guy and falter when he is taken out.

We had Meachem and Henderson to stretch the field vertically. We had Moore and Colston in their prime. We had Reggie Bush in 2009, Sproles in his prime. We had Shockey

We had WAAAY more weapons then than we had last year. Our WR's were pretty pathetic until Colston got healthy

That is so ridiculous. It's crazy how spoiled we have become. What's so mind blowing about it is that it's so consistent. I have to say I think collectively the Saints have one of the best offenses of all time (The Brees/Payton offense), when you look at how long they have kept this up for. Out of 7 seasons together, Brees/Payton have had the number offense 4 times. Ridiculous.

Hey i love the saints and all the guys that play for use. But to think JG is the end all be all for this offense is just taking the easy way to say i haven't watched saints game before 2013. I watch these games like everyone else and brees could have threw atleast 5 more TDs and not thrown 6 ints if he didn't force the football to JG. When drew is spreading the ball around and we are running the ball for at least 140 yards we are damn near unbeatable. Last year someone on here pointed out that we are trying to break every offensive record during the season more than just win games and let the records fall in place during the game.

Duh. The problem is that we had a shitty oline last year.

Brees had to get rid of the ball a lot quicker last year than any other season. He only thew 12 interceptions

no news yet regarding Graham. with 4 days left to sign the tag, when will a deal be announced?

my guess: they work it out over the weekend and announce it on Monday
