White doesn't seem like a guy that's going to help himself at the combine and he's already pegged as a late first round/early second kind of guy.

he certainly will get a boost with interviews. If he measures 5'11 or near it and runs well, he could vault up.

The whole point of my post is that guys "already pegged" right now hardly ever stay in that spot come draft time.

After the first wave of players, a ton will change. We've learned this on this board year after year. Look at the players we are clamoring about in January, then look at the players actually drafted around our slot. It's always different

I would be ok with that pick as long as we address the pass rush in FA. I think that White will definitely be gone by the second round. Pre-combine mocks are a crap shoot though. If he tests poorly in some areas at the combine, he may slip

Adams is the only LSU player I take at 11.

Cam Newton and Fournette together in Carolina? That could be a very dangerous duo.

Every year it seems they have the Saints taking a cornerback.

Where's the freaking pass rush?

Drafting White would be a smart pick so we know the Saints won't do it

and you base that on what? all the mock drafts you read now that dont include him that high?

Most of what I'm reading /listening to have him as the 4th or 5th best corner in this draft. That puts him towards the end of the first round.

A pre-free agency mock is worthless.

All mocks are pretty much worthless. They all usually end up being pretty wrong too. They're just created to entertain the fans.

Most mocks had us taking Rankins last year. That turned out to be accurate.

He was graded higher than 2 SEC cbs routinely going ahead of him. If he workouts out well he could vault up.

While I'll agree that he could move up some, this is a very deep class at CB and the underclassmen who declared could push him down (Tabor, Lattimore, Humphrey).

I think he is too low on this list but take a look.

Doesn't matter who you draft at corner if you have 0 pass rush. Going corner in the first would be a huge mistake. Then again, it is the Saints.

Tre White already has experience handling him....and that was as a freshman

But is does matter what we do in FA to address the front seven doesn't it? Kind of impacts what the FO does in the draft. Getting a FA DE and a FA OLB that can rush the QB makes bitching about a CB in first round seem silly.

CB is loaded in the 2nd round. Rather take one there.

Nothing against Tre White, but there's a decent chance that he gets drafted in the 2nd round. Unless he runs a sub 4.4 40...he probably goes around 25th at the very earliest. I'd love to get him in the 2nd round.

I really like Jamal Adams & Fournette as far as value goes at pick #11, but the position of need just isn't there. Hopefully one of our DE targets or Foster falls to #11.

My 5 targets at #11 are Myles Garrett, Jonathan Allen, Derek Barnett, & Reuben Foster. I'm starting to look hard at Solomon Thomas as well.

cbsportsline updated their overall players list yeasterday(4 DE's in the top 11...that's great for us)
#1 - Myles Garrett
#2 - Jonathan Allen
#3 - Solomon Thomas
#10 - Reuben Foster
#11 - Derek Barnett

With the recent rise of Thomas...Foster or Barnett should fall right in our lap.
