RANK 11
SAINTS
Tre'Davious White - CB, LSU: White is a one of the most improved players in the country and played at a very high level in 2016. His ball skills and toughness would be a great addition to the Saints' defense.

Would be interesting to see. We certainly need help defensively.

Will never happen, and if it does, I'll ban Lester.

As an LSU fan I hate to say this, Tre White at 11 is a bit of a reach. If the Saints drafted a corner in the first he should have the size and skill to match up with our divisional opponents #1 WR. I have no doubt White has the skill but he doesn't have the size.

Julio Jones - 6'3" 220 lbs.
Kelvin Benjamin - 6'5" 243 lbs.
Mike Evans - 6'5" 231 lbs.
Tre White 6'0" 200 lbs.

I'd rather bolster the D-line with an edge rusher or the LB core with a stud MLB.

Bring back Browner!
White's listed measurements are the almost identical Josh Norman, Desmond Trufant, and Delvin Breaux. Those are the best corners who have played in this division in recent years.

Yep, I agree. There aren't any corners that can match up with those guys size wise while being top notch outside of Sherman, and Julio has destroyed him.

You need guys with quick hips and good upper body strength. Let them make the contested throw. You beat those guys at the LoS

Revis is 5'11

As much as I like Tre White there is no chance he goes that high.

If we draft an LSU player in the first I want Adams or Fournette.

White is a good player, but not at pick 11. Trade up and get Foster or Adams. If the players at 11 are what Jeremiah has then pick Barnett or pick Williams and trade Cooks to get back in the back quarter of the first to get Cunningham or Cam Robinson.

I love White and I would love to draft an LSU guy, but this is a reach. Bolster the front 7, take pressure on the secondary.

Why does everyone keep wanting to trade Cooks to get a 1st rounder?

You have 2 more years of him, he's one of the best deep threats in the league as well as a complete route runner, he opens up everything for your other receivers, and realistically you have no true replacement if he was to go down.

What is it like 10% of rookies start for their team?

White would start for us and is a fine player. We have to see what holes the FO fills in FA.

Why does anyone think it's remotely possible?

White doesn't seem like a guy that's going to help himself at the combine and he's already pegged as a late first round/early second kind of guy.

Great technique but he never came across as a burner

Jeremiah also contradicts himself a lot in this compared to his prospect rankings. He has corners ahead of white being drafted after him, he's got Howard as the top tight end but the second tight end off the board. This just seems like a "look how smart I am" mock that goes against what he's already written. I understand teams run different schemes, but a lot of base guys are the same "type" of player and he has them going ahead of a better player at the same position, according to him. Just a weird premise

And the patriots drafting a running back in the first round with a guy like Demarcus Walker on the board is laughable

Yep.

If anything, we need to add another vertical threat, not create a massive hole there.
