Yep. I'm not sure of the exact rule, but I think you are ineligible for the PS after playing 2 full seasons. The purpose of the practice squad is to develop young players that aren't ready yet.

I wouldn't take Forte over Ingram at this point in theirs careers. Ingram is entering his prime.

I agree. Forte has been playing a ton of snaps since his rookie year. Ingram took a while to catch on in the NFL and is actually a fresh running back relative to how long he's been in the league.

I don't know any offensive lineman with those last names off the top of my head and you must be talking about an oline in you post right?

We.
Have.
No.
Money.

Saints will have to go credit card (push money into tthe future) just to sign draft class.

This is false

Drew extension alone would pay for draft class and an FA.

Saints have 75 mil in cap space in 2017

OK, you made my point.

Extending Drew pushes a ton of money into the future. At some point, you're gonna have to write a check to a 39yo quarterback for $30M+.

I'm not sure why fans don't understand this when every single NFL analyst does.

Every single team with a future HoFer or a franchise stand out player does this.

It's funny when yall act like Loomis invented backloading contracts and extensions and crucify him for it.

Lol, you're wrong, but that's not shocking.

Denver has a ton of cap space.
NE is OK.

The Saints have re-structured far more than any other team.

Wrong/bad decisions are gonna haunt us for awhile.

Brees will never ever sniff 30 mil,I'm not sure if you're confusing cap hit with actual money made.

15-20 mil for his cap hit in 17/18 with a cap that keeps skyrocketing is fine.

Armstead I believe is the only big guy they need to extend and everyone else will be on rookie deals or mid level deals.

Just stay away from giving out big contracts like in the past and things are fine.

Because fans actually take time to do research

You think Pat Kirwan doesn't research?

You may be right on the amount. I just know it was a huge number that will be pushed into the future.

And for the record, Brees' contract is not the problem. I assume most here at least know that, but maybe not.

Any team with a HOF/franchise QB is gonna have a 15-20% contract for him. We're lucky to have Drew.

Have you seen the number of free agents they have?

They are going to lose a few

Cut Spiller and see if Forte would take a hometown discount to come to New Orleans and try to win one final championship in the last 2-3 seasons of Brees career.

Forte/ Ingram backfield would be awesome.

Point being they have a ton of cap space despite having a HOF QB.

Plus, look at their roster from SB 48 to SB 50.

They have turned over damn near the whole team.

Anyone defending Loomis oughta have their crayons taken away.
