Speaking of Brown:
quote:

"I brought up the term available, though," Payton said. "And so that's the one thing he's going to have to (be). He has to be available. Year after year if you're unable to (stay on the field), then it becomes as a coach do we have him, do we not have him. Oh, we do have him, but oh he's out and we don't have him. It's hard to game plan then."

He's channeling his inner Parcells to motivate Charlie Brown.

Payton has been saying a lot stuff lately and most of it isn't positive. Heard on the radio this morning that he also said that don't expect that we'll automatically be in the playoffs just because he's back.

I swear SP is sounding more and more like Parcells with each passing day...he certainly learned from the master.

I dont see how we go into the season without signing a veteran player, unless we plan on drafting LT in the 1st.

I agree I wouldn't be surprised if we go after Mckinee, and then draft Chris Faulk in the 3rd round

There are several OTs out there in free agency. We'll be fine.

How many can we afford? Money has to be tight at this point and we are looking at Butler, Nnamdi and supposedly Vaughn Martin.

None of us knows the realities of the cap and how to move money. Loomis does.

Every year we see teams up against the cap signing players like crazy.

There are ways.

Quit worrying about the cap or money. Loomis got it.
