I hope not. Trading with the Pats scares me. Their staff is all about winning trades. And our staff...not so much.

Their staff is about trading players that are about to get paid for assets like picks and then replacing those players in draft and FA for cheaper or equal pay.
That is exactly what they are doing here. They added a very good FA corner and are trading their #1, who plays both sides of the field
So the Pat's replaced him for what he'll demand on his extension + will get Cooks out of it.
This may be the most Patriots like move the saints have made, depending on what else we get

It's not so much winning trades as it is them having a sound objective as a franchise. It makes everything look good because they have a plan.
If Butler remains a pro bowl player for us and Cooks helps them win another SB, it doesn't mean we got ripped off. It just continues to prove they have their shite together as a franchise
