Compensatory Picks, Do we get any this year?

Could definitely be helpful looking for OL in the mid rounds. Do cut and traded players count or just FA's?

I doubt it. Only people lost through becoming a FA count. Signing Byrd shouldoffset anything we lost in their formula.
Sproles won't count because we traded him. I can't think of anyone semi-valuable that we lost due to free agency.

A very small minority on this board said that. Most people with an understanding about football knew that they still had to play together, and there were a lot of shifts in personnel from the previous year. I think one aspect of the personnel changes that surprised almost everyone was the impact of Malcolm Jenkins leaving and the loss of his on-field leadership in the secondary.
The only thing that annoyed me about this past offseason and ST was people calling Champ the number 2 CB before he even set foot on the Saints practice field:

by this formula, is the NFL basically saying your GM fricked up by letting better players go and signing worse players? so lets reward you for your bad decisions.
