First off, my apology for creating another thread to simply ask a question, I know some of the well knowns around here frown upon it. Here it is:

I keep hearing many analysts say this is the deepest draft they've seen. I'm assuming they meaning deepest of average prospects. With that said, I know there are a couple of stand outs within different positions all expected to off the board at 27. Would this be year to trade back and stockpile into the 2nd-3rd rounds. I'm noticing a few small school NFL hopefuls stepping up and drilling really well. Is it worth it to move back?

I know I would if I was in Loomis's shoes. Only problem is that I'm not sure what the Saints really have to deal. Darren Sproles and Pierre Thomas could potentially land late round picks perhaps. Lance Moore for a 6th perhaps? Charles Brown maybe?

I would not be against this at all unless someone dropped we couldn't pass on. I'm also in the letting JG go for some picks camp. We need to get better via the draft.

I'd rather stand pat and take what's falling as a result of the depth. We actually have nearly a full draft this year, so we won't need to hit a home run on every pick.

i would stockpile picks in this draft, i wouldn't trade our first round pick for anything less than a mid to high second and another first next year

I would if we could get 2 2nd round picks and 2 3rd round picks

Alot of good players that will fall to the 2nd and alot of the guys we would want and need in the 1st will be gone

The decision to trade back is usually predicated that there are no available players that fit your matrix of need, value, and sheme fit. If you've played with the draft pick simulators, you've prolly come across the picks where there is no one that really does you.

So that has to happen. Then, you have to find someone that wants one of those players bad enough to trade up for. That's not as easy as it might sound.

The buzz that this is a deep class can only inhibit teams from jumping up also.

Glance at these two to see the potential trade fits-
draft pick value chart
draft picks by team
You can see one of the easiest trade fits would be the Giants. #27= #43 +74 almost exactly.

In that scenario you could ask-
Kelvin Benjamin or someone like Shane Skov with Jarvis Landry?

Very good point Blues. Just bc were willing to move back doesn't necessarily mean another team is wanting to advance. After watching the WR drills, I think I could pass up Benjamin for Coleman from Rutgers. My opinion is he's a better value pick in the 2nd if we go BPA defensively in the 1st.

Besides the obvious Hopefuls.. Khalil, Mack, Van Noy

Kevin Pierre Louis from Boston College looked good.

Telvin Smith FSU, crazy speed and quickness changing direction. I like a lot!!

Jordan Tripp (didnt catch college)... Very fluid in his hips and can catch. PLUS!
