The bad news is that they've lost two starters off their offensive line and have yet to replace them with upgrades. For a team that's made a lot of noise on the defensive side of the ball iin free agency, they've been extremely quiet in an area that may have been their biggest weakness.

That's not exactly how I would word it. I think we can all safely say that playoff game Armstead is a major upgrade at left tackle.

There's some stuff in there I agree with, but there is a lot more that is just so wrong.

Jwho caught a big one.

Would agree. But people think he was the same player last year as always. Lol

in short, a better run game could open up things for him?

hell. I don't know.

he had a big game against Seattle in the playoffs but the Saints were also able to run with success in that game.

I agree that i'm hoping that Colston had some nagging type injuries that was limiting him. He needs to show better burst and seperation this year than last. It was a huge problem for our offense. We need to have a better pounding run game with a more dynamic vertical passing game. Stills development will help, morgan i pray can play a year, meachem is meachem but we do need to add a dynamic WR that can become a #1 guy in this offense sooner than later.

He had an off year for certain, but so did a lot of our offense.

Are we really expecting anything from Meach? Was he hampered last year as well, because I had the impression he was just breaking down.

Colston couldn't get separation last year when facing man coverage. Will not be able to get it in the future either.

I remember seeing him drop a few "routine" passes last season as well, which is what makes Colston the receiver he is - strong dependable hands. He is still a very important piece to this offense IMO. Just need to add some quality youth around him in addition to Stills.

We can only hope Joe Morgan can come back as fast as before because he was a true field stretcher in the passing game.

IIRC, Colston is still hampered by nagging injuries this offseason and will not be 100% to start the season in September. All the more reason why I think the Saints draft a WR in the first round this year unless the top 5 are already gone.

He had 3 drops...#4 among WRs in drop rate.

Larry Fitzgerald
Deandre Hopkins
James Jones
Marques Colston

Ahh, stats slap to the face. Does that include his short arms over the middle? He didn't seem to have the same "want"
