They mean a little more than jack shite, but yeah, if the DE is running 40 yards to get to the play then something has gone really wrong.

How could I forget watt?!

ETA: 40 times are definitely overrated, its just one test of athleticism. His 21 reps were a disappointment, but the guy's form was horrible. He probably used up all his energy through his first 5 reps the way he was doing it.

yeah, but 4.47 at 6'5" 265?!

That is incredible.

I'm still iffy on what kind of player Clowney is gonna be?

They're meaningless if that player doesn't show he can play on tape. We know Clowney can play.

He will be a really good player. If he goes to a half way decent team, he will have a Mario Williams/Demarcus Ware type impact IMO. Maybe not making every play, but a pass rush specialist who will have to be accounted for.

I'm glad I'm not deciding.
Off the chart body with a mind and heart with questions.
One hell of a boom or bust player.

I guess Clowney slacked off more in 2013 but he did have a much better season in 2012.

heard he put up 21 on the bench but that doesn't tell the whole story.

Robert Quinn didn't tear it up on the bench and we've seen how disruptive he is.

Oh course we do. What we don't know is "Can he be a professional?"

Yeah, he's definitely given teams reason to question his heart with the decisions he's made at SC.

in 2012 yes

2013? well he played the reporters. tried playing the coaches, but they weren't having it. dude mailed it in so as not to damage his NFL chances. funny thing is that even with all the criticism of how he did mail it in, he still will be a top 5 pick. I hope ATL does trade the farm to get him, because players with his dedication fail most of the time.

still think watching his teammate destroy his leg played with his psyche a whole lot.

I'm hoping the same thing. The Julio trade worked out in a sense that they were right about Julio, he's a beast (when healthy). But that trade also set them so far back it still cracks me up. Their defense is terrible and they've missed on a lot of their picks. I hope they trade the barn again for Clowney. He doesn't scare me at all honestly. His work ethic is terrible, he cries like a baby, and he's set to become the next Tony Mandrich of the NFL. This guy will be the bust of all busts, especially now that people who actually put stock into the combine will be all over his nuts because he ran fast in a straight line with no pads.

that's kind of what I thought too.

When he is dialed into the game though... dude is a hoss.

I think the Jaguars end up picking him with the #3 pick. But I guess they need a QB also so you never know???

That doesn't excuse him. Injuries happen in football. He showed himself to be somewhat weak minded for a football player....as well as selfish.
