"A veteran," was how Armstead described LeRibeus. "Experienced guy. He has actually come in and it's like he's been here for a while - not many mistakes, if any. He picked up the offense pretty quickly; that's very impressive. He has fit in real smoothly."

That o-line depth tho

He might take that backup RG spot.

I think he's our #8 lineman, assuming everyone stays healthy

That's big. We need depth. Odds of catching lightning in a bottle like Atlanta did last year, where their line stayed healthy all year, is slim to none. We don't know how Unger will recover, and Armstead has had health issues.

i have been waiting for a make up year for Atlanta and their O-line. They have been very lucky a couple years in a row now...and their line does not have great depth.

Yeah. It might be a blessing in disguise that Unger has to miss some time (as long as the missed time doesn't go into the regular season). If Josh can use this opportunity to put himself in a position where he's ready to take Unger's spot in an emergency, that's huge.

This is the best their OLine has ever looked in terms of quality players and depth. They can possibly put together their best starting OLine unit ever and with quality depth to replace immediately if someone goes down from injury. That's really good news to hear. They have a kid from Southern Miss they signed as a UDFA that may surprise. He played center also at Southern Miss and was All conference I believe a couple of seasons while there, that's nothing to sneeze at.
I just looked up his info and I was wrong. Lol He was All conference 3 straight times and a starter all 4 seasons, that's impressive. Here is link LINK

Possibly trade material for other needs. Most teams that we scrimmage against watch our players as we observe theirs. Hopefully we can get some Defensive help from The Texans.

If Tom impresses during training camp I would trade LeRibeus. Tom imo would have more upside, he's bigger at 6'4" and over 300 pounds, and can play both center and guard too. But we'll see what happens down the road.

Upside is not what we need this year. We are all sick of upside I think. Put the best damn players on the field this year. If he has ups he can land on the PS.

From reports so far you would be trading the wrong one. LeRibeus is stepping in like a veteran. Upside doesnt guarantee shite. If the Rib is playing like a vet after 2 practices then, its safe to say he is the guy behind Unger or the starter going into the season if Unger cant go..

The best players will be on the field once Unger is ready to go. Some of y'all just don't get it and jump to quick conclusions way to damn quickly, that's why I said let it play out in training camp.

While, I have only seen him play against LSU, the dude certainly has a pedigree of smarts. Dad is a PhD math professor at LSU.

I wish him the best.

I'll assume you are talking about Tom, my man. I didn't know his Dad taught at LSU, Tom must have a good head on those big shoulders. How'd he look against LSU last season blocking wise?? I didn't get the chance to see that game.

Yep. On paper, it's a top 5 starting O-Line.

Potential Backups of Ramczyk, Kelemete, Landon Turner, Jack Allen, Josh LeRibeus, Cameron Tom, John Fullington, Khalif Barnes, & Cameron Lee. Also, Saints legend Bryce Harris.
