Kasim Edebali has locked down the starting defensive end spot opposite Cam Jordan because of his improved play as both a pass rusher and against the run. Edebali, who was tried briefly at outside linebacker in 2015, remains freakishly athletic, and on one deep ball from Brees, the defensive end ran in coverage 25 yards downfield and batted a pass away from Tommylee Lewis.

Whait, what?.......

C.J. Spiller has looked like he was initially advertised in recent weeks, particularly in the passing game, and the running back made two more catches from Brees in the offense's second red zone period.

Nice. could use........

You could see Edebali's athleticism last year and knew he would be special once he learned to play more controlled.

He reminds me of a faster Galette (hopefully minus character issues).

This is why I never freaked out when Kikaha went down. While I expect good things from Kik, Edebali seems a more natural rush end. I think they would have split time this year.

How much of this improved D is because the offense is on the decline!? I kid. I hope.

I'd like to see a headline on just how many INTs Brees has thrown in camp because that's all I read about. To add to that, how much is it because his offensive line just sucks? Defense either is really improved or the offense is on a steep decline. Guess we'll find out soon enough.

Of course I praise him and then hear he limped off in practice.
