So sticking your head in the sand makes it not true??

I love the Saints too, but it doesn't change the fact that a lot of the NFL's players lack passion and love money.

I cant wait until college players go on strike and then start getting paid so idiots like this can quit with all the bullshite college passion of the game bullshite.

There are plenty of players who don't give a shite in college and consider it a job. Having money magnifies the person that you are. The players who have the heart in college have it in the NFL.

Anyways, it was a pretty worthless comment that you supported with ZERO evidence and certainly doesn't apply to Cam Jordan

cam jordan is a pretty solid de when he's containing his position, he's not an elite pass rusher though IMO. Need that coming from other guys on roster.

nor was he expected to be when drafted. people want every de to be elite pass rushers, but that's not always the case or what's most desirable. he is a good not great rusher who excels as an overall de. last year he disappeared on us, but this season he has been fantastic

Well, I responded to someone elses comment that Jordan should just say he got paid and doesn't give a shite. I don't have a problem with Jordan, but that general attitude within the NFL. College is far more passionate for college players than NFL, that's just how it is. If you wanna argue that point go ahead, and call me out for "ZERO evidence" all you want.

If you walk outside and your fricking car is wet, do you need EVIDENCE that it has rained, or are dumb enough to assume someone drove by and dumped a bucket of water on it???

Im not trying to say the NFL sucks, but yall are getting defensive bc you don't want to admit its a problem and true....

Water doesn't = rain.
The argument isn't provable. You couldn't possibly prove that it had indeed rained, just like I cant prove that NFL players care less.

But both are true and we all know it

I could prove it in about 15 seconds

And it is still evidence. You haven't offered any water

Texas sure seemed to care this weekend. LSU has had players admit they don't care some weeks

For the sake of not arguing with someone as rational as the dry erase board that currently sits in front me, tell you what...

You're right. NFL players, as a whole, care more about the game than college players do. I issue my deepest regrets for simply stating something that 99% of general football fans agree with. I have come to know the error of my ways thanks in large part to your compelling argument that I offered no tangible proof, required to be presented upon this prestigious message board where logic is vehemently denied.

You're so brilliant. I hope that 1 day I'm as rational as you. Sorry for asking you to support your argument. Crazy irrational on my part.

Stick to the rant with your kind

Northwestern tried to unionize their players... I'm sure they didn't do it so that they could get together and collectively share their love of, and passion for, football. They wanted to get paid.

They were denied by the NLRB, but they won't be the last to try it and eventually someone will get it done.

most college players that are good enough jump to the pros when they become eligible to do so.

I think that's another reason there is some bitterness towards the NFL from the college fans. I can appreciate their bitterness but also laugh at it too.

Prove to me that the NFL is less business oriented for players than college....... Prove me wrong.

Ill save you some time....if you remotely even try to do this, it shows how stubborn you are. Id think twice about considering yourself 'above' any posters on the rant, you simple minded jackass

You made the claim boss. Logic 101

Where did I make that argument? Reading can be hard I guess.

You said NFL players don't give a shite. That is pretty outlandish and completely unnecessary. It is laughable that you think your eyes are open and everyone else has their head in the sand

You're getting pretty upset for being so rational.

So open minded

The answer is that, today, the NFL is more business oriented... but a lot of that is because Colleges are prohibited from being business oriented (at least with regard to financially compensating their employees).

But the barrier is cracking quickly. In ten years, I'm not so sure both levels of competition won't be the same in terms of treating it like a business as well as a passion.

You SEC guys should be excited, it might mean you'll be able to spend more money and dominate recruiting even more than you already do.

Youre talking down to me bc I have a different opinion than you. And unless Im in a Football Neverland, throughout my lifetime of interacting with other football fans, very few disagree with 'my claim'.

Yet you sit here on an internet-based pedestal and say 'prove it' to smthg that's not tangible. Its just love of the game. Im going off the actions and body language of players, and if you cant see the difference then I cant help you.
Like I said, this isn't about Cam Jordan but NFL players in general. Theres a much greater perception that many just show up to get a pay check, and it is what it is. The NFL is straight business.

Sorry for being a dick, but frick you if you think Ill back down to someone saying keep you and your kind on the rant, over a simple opinion.

I'm not crawfishing

You said that no one in the NFL really gives it a shite

Brees gives a shite, keenan lewis playing hurt last year shows that he gives a shite. PP7 gives a shite, TM7 gives a shite. For every Junior, there is a class act busting his arse like PT, Lance Moore, etc

I never made the claim that you're trying to put in my mouth.

Your comment was unnecessary and completely unsupported. If you make a claim, expect to be asked to back it up. That's being "rational" and logical. That is how debate works.

But no one really gives a shite

OMG the literal police have showed up. My fault for saying nobody gives a shite. Youre right, I cant agree that every single NFL player is in it for the wrong reasons. Cant do it, wont try, don't even believe it.

However, I stand by my opinion that an alarming amount of NFL players care far more about getting a paycheck than the outcome of the game. That's my argument. Ill clarify further by saying a far larger percentage of NFL players could give a shite than college players.

Apologize for misrepresenting my initial argument by a misguiding generalization.

"That's the problem with the NFL...too many players don't give a shite."
