This might have been posted in the past couple of days, but I havent been on the board.

How does everyone think he did against the falcons?

Yes I know; its only 1 game, but I didnt see much of him against an average(at best) OL that had injuries from 2 of their best tackles.

We have been.
The entire defense sucked.
Nothing good for no one.
PONDER.

I understand, but its only fair to call out our best defensive player (as far as NFL top 100) against a weak OL.

Dude looks like he lost some speed as far as getting to the QB

like you can tell from watching from your arm chair…dude played fine…pressure wasn't awesome but it wasn't stagnant…Ryan actually was just amazing and our secondary scheme was fricking awful which allowed pretty much all intermediate routes to be wide fricking open…Ryan saw that and took advantage…

Rob Ryan needs to adjust his shite or we are in for a long year…we have too much talent to be last in the league on D…we should be at worst a top 10 defense after bringing in more talent from a previous top 5 D

I go from sitting in the first half from standing 2 feet from TV in the second half.

And yes I understand we played safe so our DB's wouldnt get burned 1 on 1 against Jones and company.
But after re watching the game, it was hard to watch Ryan having 5+ seconds almost every snap to throw.

Let me clarify

It looks like he did put on some meat, but lost a step because of that. Im not saying he's old.

But in my past experience with DE's, I hope he doesnt go the Will Smith route and lose speed/add belly after his first 3-4 seasons.

And I hopefully agree Lester. Lets hope it was an off day.

Cam and Jr. were held all day.

Seems the refs have put more emphasis on calling hands to the face and less emphasis on holding.

Not making excuses, penalties are missed all the time, but c'mon man they were obviously obvious.

I don't know if its gotten to a art form or the refs just don't want/told to call it but on every replay you will see a o-lineman holding someone.
I'm sure it has nothing to do with protecting the QB and higher scoring which protects the money.

Or as donkey arse would say "The Shield".
