Why dont the Saints do this?
It will benefit both teams.
Lucas is already a great CB.
Bush could be the return man and slot guy with Steve Smith. You no longer need him as a RB. Why the f not.

No way would we trade Bush to someone else in the NFC South

Probably because the Panthers aren't retards.

not a good deal for the saints IMO, corner is not that big of a need

For the last time, we are OK at cornerback.
Safety and OLB and DT are the only defensive needs.
OT and RB are the only offensive needs.
The Saints were 2-6 in toss-up games last year. Reverse that number and we're in Carolina's shoes sitting out the Wild Card weekend with a Bye.

Is this board a joke? Is this an elaborate interweb hoax?
Do you people not realize that Gamble signed an extension to stay with the Panthers and that DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart already play for them? And, on top of that, that Williams and Stewart combined for 2,351 yards this year in tandem, which is the highest total in the last 24 years of the NFL.
Why would that trade happen?

Really? Like when everytime the opposing team needs a big play they burn us? David sucks Young sucks and Gay is average. Bullochs sucks and Harper sucks. We need Cb's and Safeties.

Why are we forgetting about Tracy Porter?
The need at safety is much greater than the one at CB.

Im not forgetting about him...he is the one exception.

what are you even asking for in this trade?
Lucas or Gamble?
(Not that would even make sense for Carolina)

Too much $$$ for Bush. He is a bust under the Saints system.

Mckenzie, Porter, Gay, and David are plenty good enough for us next year at the position. Aaron Glenn could also provide depth again.

I don't know what he has done for you.
He is the reason that I purchased season tickets three years ago. I attended every home game that year and if you were along for the ride in 2006 you would know what he has done for this organization. (IMO)
-The punt return for a td to win the game against Tampa Bay. Every time he lines up to receive a punt you can feel the excitement in the stands.
-The 3 or 4 tds he had against San Francisco
Without him, we don't make the playoffs in 2006. He obviously isn't your prototypical runing back, but if used correctly he is a very dangerous weapon on the football field. I can understand the criticism (east/west running, a little soft)but labeling him a bust? No.
Who from that draft class do you think the Saints should have taken in the 2nd slot? D'Brickashaw or AJ Hawk? Maybe, but neither of them has really been outstanding.
Reggie has done more for the Saints than you or I could ever hope to. He restored some hope after the dismal season that followed Katrina. I'm a fan. No matter what.

What everyone on this board fails to realize is that while Bush has not performed to the expectations that the media laid on him his game breaking ability forces teams to game plan for him (if you dont believe me as the coaches in the NFL, Del Rio came out and said that same statement). What I find amusing is that at the beginning of the season when he was the single handed reason we were in the minnesota game the tampa win and a couple others he was a god now he gets hurt and he is a bust once again. at the end of the day he still has to be game planned for unlike pierre or deuce or any other typical running back. He needs to be utilized correctly which is not to the fault of his it is the coaching staff. It is hard to use him correctly when you are down by 14 to start the games which is a problem on the defensive side the ball.

Usama Young doesn't suck, by the way.

We need:
1. Safety to replace Bullocks.....someone who can play the ball in the air.
2. Quick linebacker to replace Shanle.
3.Massive DT to play beside Ellis....someone at 6'4"+ and 330+ lbs.
4. Future LT to move Brown back to RT (not a necessity, but would be nice)
