Depending on swelling initially, it's definitely possible that damage could be picked up on future imaging that wasn't initially seen. I highly doubt Rapaport's source is actually anyone in the medical field though as that diagnosis is incorrect. A sprain cannot be a muscle tissue/tendon injury... Anyone with even a rudimentary knowledge of orthopedics could tell you that. I also doubt that Andrews and company would be wrong if they've actually looked at it unless the Saints are just covering it up.

Trial by fire. It's exactly that simple.

If you have honestly think he could be worse than McCown go look at the stats from McCowns last start. Or watch any preseason game

I don't think Grayson should play yet. We're still only 0-2 and McCown as a vet (as cringeworthy as it is watching at times) likely gives us the better chance at a couple W's until Brees gets back.

Now if we're staring at 0-5 or 0-6 and Brees still isn't back. Then sure, let the kid in and start getting him some action.

My guess is this injury is more wear and tear. In 2005 he was put back together, and the wear and tear of throwing so many passes the last 10 years has take. It's toll. I don't think Brees will be able to play unless a surgeon probaly Andrews does some sort of procedure on the shoulder with Brees sitting out this year and resting it and later rehabbing after healing. Brees maybe done folks. Just my 2'cents

Moving arm and throwing passes at a NFL level might be 2 different things.

Well considering the RC is comprised of 4 tendons it would be a STRAIN... You can't sprain a tendon.
so what if it's a sprain of the GHL,CAL,CCL, or THL?

Rapsheet obviously has a connection with someone inside the organization. His info was spot on during the offseason so I wouldn't quickly dismiss his report at all.

MCL sprain, oblique strain, bum shoulder (Ed Werner reported also had a shoulder injury to go along with oblique injury last year), yeah they have a habit of covering up injuries concerning Brees.
