I mean, I think all the ESPN hates blah blah blah threads are stupid but goddamn are they serious???

Just had a ten minute segment with Skip, Jay, Chris Broussard, and Mangini and literally not one of them ever mentioned Brees. They put up all 3 QBs stats to start the segment and that was the only way you even knew Brees existed.

All 4 broke it down to Rodgers vs. Brady and it actually seems like Brady was their front runner.

Holy shite I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

Like I keep saying, the MSM will never give Brees the respect he deserves. They can't, not with Brady and Rodgers' cocks in their moouth.

If Brees played for a big market team or on a team with the history of the packers he would be the frontrunner.

I think there should be a serious discussion as to whether it should be Rodgers or Brady going against Drew for the MVP.

I think the NFL pays the media to pump up these other qb's to take the shine away from Drew and the saints. They don't want any Saint.. EVER to win MVP... its a conspiracy lol

After last night, I decided to boycott any football coverage on ESPN, be it NFL or NCAA. They literally talked about the Cowboys game for 20 out of the first 40 minutes of Sportscenter last night.

On the hour long First Take today, aside from the 10 minute segment on MVP, the ENTIRE show was about Tebow and the Giants/Cowboys.

No mention of the Saints game, Pack, ATL, Patriots, Ravens, or Pitt.

Guys, let's chill out on the conspiracy stuff.
Every team's fans claim that.
Every one.

Of course Brees deserves to be considered for MVP.
These commentators are just stupid and peer pressured by each other.
Come on, Skip Bayless?
Stupidity =/= Conspiracy.

The most conspiracy I'll concede to is perhaps a small desire to draw up controversy.
Like all news does.

I'm not claiming any conspiracy. I just think it sucks that for some reason many of these talking heads around the country just don't seem to pay as much attention to stories outside of their traditional go-to bubbles like the Pats/Brady and the Giants/Cowboys rivalry.

It really is a shame and makes me wonder what other stories we're missing out on around the country that we don't get to hear about due to lazy and/or uniformed "journalism". We only know how great Drew is because we watch him every week.

Now, many of the analysts like Dilfer, Gruden, etc., spend a lot more time actually breaking down game film and understand how special this Saints offense is, which is nice to see whenever they happen to get air time.

But clearly, the media at large just isn't paying enough attention outside of their traditional talking points.

i laugh when someone sacks up and says Brees is the best and the rest of the people on set are just kinda looking at their feet like o shite why are you doing this? We only talk about big markets.

Why he still has a job we will never know.

Mangini looked like he was storing mental images of Brady in his spank bank as he talked about him

im done with espn except for live events.

i had it one for literally 2 minutes and saw them continue to slobber over brady and not even a thought to brees for mvp.

the bias is beyond ridiculous at this point. i thought for sure they would finally put brees ahead of brady.. but nope..

brees not only has a better season than brady, he is better.

The major sports networks make a killing off of making fans feel slighted. This First Take conversation was planned for just such an occasion; believe that.
