According to Mike Triplett of ESPN, the Saints have fired team orthopedists, Deryk Jones and Misty Suri, after it was discovered that CB Delvin Breaux has a fractured fibula and will require surgery expected to sideline him for 4-6 weeks. Triplett adds that Breaux was originally diagnosed with a contusion and the team began to be frustrated that he wasn’t recovering more quickly. However, it was later revealed that Breaux had been missed diagnosis. This comes less than a week after a report mentioned that the Saints were interested in trading Breaux, given that he couldn’t stay healthy. Although, Triplett says it now appears to be unlikely at this point that the Saints will be as eager to trade or release Breaux. Breaux, 27, wound up signing on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent back in May of 2015. He’s currently in the third year of his three-year, $1.587 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $615,000 for the 2017 season before becoming a restricted free agent in 2018. According to OverTheCap.com, trading Breaux would free up $615,000 of available cap space while creating $4,000 in dead money. In 2016, Breaux appeared in six games and recorded 21 tackles, no interceptions and a pass defense for the Saints.

that is misleading, it doesn't add any cap space cutting Breaux.

Can we just fire the entire medical staff while we're at it? Pay some hotshot elite doctors big bucks to come live in NOLA. Get this shite done.

That's the problem. They need doctors that sleep at a Holiday Inn Express.

What a massive clusterfrick.

There have always been suspicions and talk about how awful the medical staff is, but this just confirms it.

How the hell do you not notice that a FIBULA is fractured..... and you think it's a contusion. 90% of non doctors could point that out.

Well, it's not my place to put it out there just because I know first hand before the media.

Yes, but Suri was only the Pels doctor for a year, and they Pels had pretty decent health last year.
