Breaux would probably be 4 or 5 spots higher if he didn't trip twice against TY.

And props to Kyle Wilson. He was hot garbage with the Jets. He got a lot of hate in the preseason for giving up big plays, but at the same time he was breaking up passes left and right. I think he could be a legit nickel back on a good defense. Unfortunately, our defense has two really good players, a few promising young LBs (mostly Kikaha, not seeing that much from Anthony), then a bunch of shite. Maybe Byrd isn't too bad, but vastly overpaid.

He makes some plays in the backfield but he's been awful in coverage. There's a reason that TE's push our shite in week in week out. He's a rookie so he gets a bit of a break, but he doesn't appear to be improving.

Yeah the direction of the Saints organization, especially on defense, is beyond inexcusable. This many different DCs and players, still getting the same (or worse) results.

Sorry baw. Cam has been very good. Breaux has been very good. Our defense has been mostly dogshit. That means some of our players have been awful. I think Anthony has played a part in that.

I see what you're saying with him being a contributor in part to a bad D. But to say he hasn't shown flashes of being a good player i think is a bit off target. I think he can be a solid starter in a few years. (provided we actually improve on D as a whole. LBs will look like shite if both the Dline AND the secondary are garbage.)

To be fair it's hard to cover when there is no pass rush. Granted I don't think Anthony is a pro bowler but I also don't see him as a problem. A solid d line would solve our defensive issues imo.

At this point we should be pointing out positives and be congratulating Breaux for being top notch in his rookie season

He's no worse than Lofton. I think Anthony has shown he can be a good contributor though, he is being asked to do a lot for a rookie starting LB. Hopefully he and Cam can form a solid core for the front 7. Being able to rely on the guys next to you is a huge part of being successful in the NFL.

With our huge lack of a pass rush, im shocked breaux is that high. The only positions we need to draft on defense is DE and DT

That guy at #2 was a steal but I think everyone on ST knew it. Our front office is a joke. Draft night people on here were all over that pick but the front office had different picks in mind. See how those picks worked out.

Teams are built through the draft and we just suck at it.
