I'm wondering how this new thinking is going to affect things. I tend to think it would make her lean towards wanting to help the players more considering she is making it sound like they are getting screwed because of this stand off between the NFL and the PA

Either she's covering her arse by calling them out before ruling in their favor, or she's pissed that they didn't even try to talk and are putting everything on her. I think the 2nd is more likely but would she really not do what she thinks is right just because the Union didn't waste their time on pointless settlement talks? I don't think Vilma will accept anything less than a complete reversal of the penalties and having Goodell present himself before the Saints, put his head between his legs, and kiss his own arse. There will be no settlement.

Did you guys see the Tripplet phone interview on ESPN last night? The guy doing the interview kept asking questions as if it was beyond reason that CSP thought they were innocent. Kind of amusing.

Honestly, if there is some kind of ruling that allows Smith and Vilma to play this year, I don't care if every thread on Saints Talk is about it. I would just be happy and excited.
