BS has been really on the "Saints will suck" bandwagon all offseason almost dismissing our chances for no other reason than "it's too much to overcome".
Nice to see Lombardi put some objectiveness into the debate and talk about how the Saints are still the team to beat in the NFC South (about 1/7th of the way in). The whole podcast is good listening though.

Make sure everyone knows that Lombardi said that Ingram was a good back but he was the worst RB on the roster.

BS knows nothing about football so you can basically ignore anything he says (unless its about how awesome the Pats are because thats obviously true)

Mate Simmons only claims to be an NBA guy. He's definitely a normal NfL fan

It's interesting point. There's no way it's true after our preseason (Ingram has looked nice, Ivory not so much) but it shows that Lombardi is engaged and knowledgeable enough about each team to have a contrarian opinion like that. It may have been true last season while Ingram learned to run behind a pro line. I'm sure as Lombardi sees some real footage he'd change his mind now.

Since when is is that a problem for rbs? Chris Ivory had no problem coming from D18 football to averaging 5ypc in the NFL. No, Ingram is not the Saints worst RB. Cadet is. But if I needed someone to go out and get NFL yards, I'd take Ivory over Ingram right now. Ivory's fall from grace, in Saints fans eyes, is stunning given the animal he's been in actual games that count.
