He ran for 3000 yds in 3 years. One of 3 backs in franchise history to do so. To paint his time here as a bust is idiotic.
quote:Ill take a prime Ricky Williams over a prime Ingram all day every day. Everyone saying he was a bust is forgetting he was a top 3 rb in the league at one point in his career. You can't call him a bust just because of what the moron who drafted him traded to get him.
And Ingram hasn't even played a 3rd year yet so that is why the first 2 years were compared. If you look back and compare the first 2 years of their careers then I would take Ingram's first 2 (considering the draft picks) all day every day.
You can't call him a bust just because of what the moron who drafted him traded to get him.
quote:You're putting a lot of words in my mouth. By that standard it would have been impossible for Williams to not be a bust unless he became the greatest RB in NFL history. If he was a successful player for many years and a top rb in the NFL for good amount of time he isn't a bust. It's not his fault that we gave up an entire draft to get him just like it's not Ingram's fault that we spent a first and second on him. You could say that it was dumb to do what we did to get Williams and I would agree, but to say he was a total bust of a player is not true.
We have people on this board complaining that we used a second and first for Ingram. Are they complaining about Loomis and Payton? No. They're complaining about Ingram.
quote:First of all what the frick is the gm crack about? And frick you. Second of all after he was traded he became a top 2-3 running back in the league. Like I said, the decision to do what we did and trade for him was a bust but if you think that automatically makes his career a bust you're a fricking moron. I don't know why you can't grasp that concept.
That's why you are not a GM and you just fail on message boards. We drafted Duece, Ricky's replacement in the first using the 23 rd pick in Ricky's in Ricky's second year. Why would we do that? Because they made a decision yo get rid of him. You are either too old to remember, or too young. We sucked for years after the trade to get Ricky because of what we gave up to get him. We were trading depth with MI, nothing more. We got him at 28 with a1st round swap in a second. It's Ricky.
We sucked for years after the trade to get Ricky because of what we gave up to get him.
Don't compare williams to Ingram, Ingram can't hold his jock
