If OJ brings a knife he is winning that fight. No, seriously.

If I got to pick 2 guys in their absolute prime to play running back in a one for-all-the-marbles game, I'd take Earl Campbell and Gale Sayers.

Barry Sanders, the best to play the game.

Barry Sanders was the greatest of all time the year he walked away. He would have shattered every record if he had kept playing. The man was unreal. He was better than all of them.

Well, if you're talking among former Saints players Gil Fenerty has to be in the discussion.

Pretty much all of this. He was 90% of Detroit's total offense for basically every year he played the game. Its hard to imagine a singular player more integral to a team's success as Barry with the Lions.

Too bad he played for those mediocre Lions teams. Imagined what he could have done if he played on teams like the Cowboys.

This.

In the individual "greatest position" NFL debates, this is the one with a clear cut winner. It's Jim Brown, and it's not close.

For real though, Bobby Herbert will tell you nothing but great things about the NOLA native who played at Jesuit. He played everywhere (2 Colleges, CFL, Europe, etc.) before making Mora's roster for 2 years.

I have tons of respect for Brown, but I think the most talented back that I have seen is Gayle Sayers. Like Bo Jackson Sayers' career was ended by injury. Sayers had decent size, tremendous speed, and moves that defy description.
