With Only 1 QB, 1 MLB, 1 NT & 0 RB being taken there will be plenty of talent in the 3rd round.

Is he saying those players will get taken in the 2nd bumping players we actually need to the 3rd?

even so, that means other positions that we want were picked by this analysis

he is saying that with teams picking those position players, it gives us a better chance at getting a better defensive player.

If the skill players are still there that means all the good defensive players went in the first...

Beat me to it, Drizz.
Some of the reaches by other teams could very well benefit the Saints. Hopefully there will be a run on offensive skill positions in Rd2. The Saints should be able to get good value in the 3rd and hopefully pick up a good under-valued LT or OLB.
Hell they may get REALLY lucky and pick up some guys in FA like Chris Faulk or Michael Mauti who would have been drafted if not for injuries. Mauti should actually go undrafted, but I think someone will draft Faulk, maybe the Saints! That would be a risk worth taking.

I don't think that's really the case. The first round was mostly OL and defense (top 9 OL, 3 LB, 8 DL and 7 DB's are already gone). Some of those guys would have slipped into the 2nd and 3rd round if there were more elite skill position players this year. Even if teams start taking RBs, QBs and WR it still doesnt change the fact the first round took most of the top players the Saints could have really used. Basically any damage the Saints would avoid by skill players being taken in the second round was already done in the first.

I think you are all missing the point of the original post. It was clear the poster's head was in his arse and what he was really saying was:
"Wphyw ynhly nnnm qwbbbbb nnnm mmmmmwlnbbb nnnm nnhytt ndaawwr erroroowowww arrhwbbb ewnnn tkkkkannnnn dddrrrallbbbbb wwplnyyy ffwtlnttt nnnm eehhhrd rrawwwwwwwwnd."
