Resident Jenkins and Harper apologist and fan boy checking in to tell you to frick yourself. Front 7 was worse than 2 cent toilet paper in a raw dry a-hole last year and our corners didn't play much better. Next year will be different for both Jenkins and Harper.
As for Nmmammdti>Bree, duh everyone knows that. Bree's is an overrated shite of a shell of his former self who only gets recognition because this is now a league where anyone can consistently shatter long standing records and put up 5000yrd seasons and have the best post season stats as a QB ever. I mean just look at all the other quarterbacks with similar stats out there. And the worst part is all the other future half of farmers in the league right now are playing for league minimum but not olé greedy breesus. I am i right mon?

Then why did IAQ significantly outplay Jenkins with the same front 7?

What makes you think that he "significantly" outplayed Jenkins? I'm all for giving IAQ a shot, but I don't recall that happening.

Pretty sure he did.

With the Saints owning our two lowest-graded safeties this season, it’s been nice to see some production on the back end in the last few weeks in the form of Isa Abdul-Quddus. Forced into full time action with Malcolm Jenkins on IR, Quddus has responded extremely well in the last three games starting and playing 100% of defensive snaps. His performance against the Panthers marked the third time in four games – and his fourth on the season – that he’s graded at or above +1.9 in coverage, a mark neither Jenkins nor Roman Harper reached even once in a combined 29 games and over 2000 defensive snaps.
That right there is ABSURD. IAQ had 3 positive grades in coverage in 4 games, when Harper and Jenkins had 0 in a combined 29 games. 0 positive grades. 0.

I know INTs aren't the end-all-be-all stats, but in the last 2 years he has 1 INT, while IAQ, in limited playing time last year had 2. As a FS, 1 INT in 2 years as a starter is pretty horrible.

21 tackles, 5 pass defended and 2 int's in 3 and a half starts.

Are you serious? The 49ers are a very legitimate Superbowl favorite next year. While the Saints are up there as well, we saw how last year turned out for them. Why would he not take the same amount of money for a team that seemingly has a better chance to win it all next year?

I agree, but the stuff you posted is pretty telling. Consider my eyes opened.

Ok, PFF rated 88 safeties from last season. Overall, IAQ was ranked 40th in 484 snaps. He was also ranked 12th in coverage.
On the other hand, Malcolm Jenkins was ranked dead last overall in 892 snaps, #88. He was also 85th in coverage. His best attribute was pass rushing (-1.1), but he was still ranked even with IAQ in this stat.

With all due respect and in a friendly tone: You got owned man. Damn those stats are crazy.
WORST DEFENSE EVER. Ever. ever.
Posted on 3/27/13 at 8:35 am to OldSouth
Just to compare Jenkins had 7 passed defended in 12 and a half games while IAQ had 5 in 3 and a half. What that tells me is IAQ is better at positioning himself to get to the ball.

Maybe, but I asked him to prove it and he did. I didn't even offer a retort. I don't consider that getting owned, but everyone has an opinion.

I was praising MM2613 more than anything for digging it up.
