Yeah and Adrian Peterson was a smart signing

They can't all be clear-headed and stable like Lawrence Taylor, you know.

What does not drafting Foster have to do with Adrian Peterson?

Some of you need to quit your day jobs and think about careers in football scouting. Many have clearly missed their calling.

He assaulted a nurse during the ONLY interview he ever had to attend.

Guy is a retard. We already drafted one of those. Glad he wasnt there at 32.

Cunningham at 45 (when we trade 2 '18 picks to move up) will be damn good for us!

No. Once he fell in to the mid 20s we should have moved. He'll be fine with quality players around him.

His instinct for the ball and physical ability to get there make it worth it for me.

If Foster stays out of trouble and his shoulder is ok, he can be the next Patrick Willis.

If not he'll be the next Rolando McClain.

A lot of risk/reward.

I wouldn't say we avoided him...Lattimore fell to us and if he was there at 32 he would be a Saint. That dude can play.

Why is the AP signing a terrible move?

He came very cheap

No. If SF hadn't traded up and we would've passed on him at #32 I would've lost my mind.

Evidently 30 picks through the draft thought the same..... He was suppose to be top 5-8, soooooooo we are not the only ones who thought this....

yeah i'd have certainly picked him at 32 but he's one of those guys who have had their alleged potential blown WAY out of proportion from reality. last night people were posting "experts" saying he was on the same level of pat willis and keuchly. that's insane. he's not even a MLB like those 2 guys were

now a deandre levy, alec ogletree, lavonte david, danny trevathan type? yes

but at the end of the day, he's a WLB and that is not a game-changing position. add in all the red flags and there is no way to justify him at 11. we got the consensus #1 CB, a top-5 value and our #1 position of need, instead. now at 32? worth the gamble, but we didn't get to make the selection and picked teh BPA at a position of future need

Me. Didn't the Saints just finish purging the locker room of assholes?

Breaking news. Jake>Mayock

Now he's in San Fran playing next to Bowman and playing behind 3 top 10 picks on the defensive line. He'll be a perennial all-pro and a "what could have been" topic around here for years. John Lynch is a wizard, they were prepared to take Foster at 3 if the bears took Thomas. What does he know though

I don't know why people keep harping on Foster, he wasn't worth it at 11 and wasn't available at 32.

Picking him at 11 is pure crazy talk. I don't hate what we ended up with at 32 either. But giving up that second 3rd rounder to move up to get him would have been the right move.
