does anybody see a trade possibility at this point? Or a pipe dream? Seems like there are some other pressing matters, like rb injuries, that would possibly need to be addressed if anything. And not sure what we would have as trade bait right now.

I think everyone would obviously welcome A.J. Hawk to New Orleans

Hawk watched the Packers opening game against the Eagles entirely from the sideline and looks to only see about 50% of the starting snaps as the season progresses.
If that's why he's disgruntled would the situation be any better for him in NO? Part of the justification of the Fujita loss was that he only played on half the snaps.

I want to go on record in stating I would also welcome patrick willis and demeco ryans.

Chris Johnson or Peterson would also be welcome additions to the team. At least until Reggie comes back.

This is the same situation as Jonathan Vilma in NY. AJ Hawk is a better play than Fujita.

That article is fricking stupid. Jolonn Dunbar has outplayed Shanle for all 3 games and is very stout against the run. Marvin Mitchell has looked leaps and bounds better this year in both pass coverage and run defending (against Atlanta 1 play stood out especially when on the goal line he plugged the gap, shed Ovie Mughelli's block like he was a rag doll, and stuffed the RB for a loss). Shanle has been playing Strong side, first off, and has looked really bad, but then again, Alex Brown has been non-existent on that side.

Sweet. We should've tried to get Leinart after the Cards cut him and maybe we can get D'Brickashaw to replace Bushrod and we can rule the 2006 draft!

No thanks

With that salary the Packers would be better cutting him. If he is not a key part of the team that salary is worse than Reggie's 8 mil.

I think that pretty much rules it out.

solidifies my opinion that Null is still an idiot.

PWilly is the best LB in the NFL

The question with his $11,000,000 2011 salary is how that is structured. If that is his base salary or whether it is his cap hit.
Honestly, seeing as all guaranteed money would be sucked up by the Packers in a trade, you'd basically be renting AJ Hawk for a year, because you could just cut him at the end of the season with no cap hit since his guaranteed money is already absorbed by the Pack.
The question becomes, what would we need to trade to get him, and for all we know it could just be a pick in next years draft. If it solidified your LB corp for the year, it might be worth it.

I can't see the Packers delivering in-season, to possibly their greatest obstacle to the NFC Title, one of their top defensive performers..especially when already missing Harrell for the year, and Grant dinged.
If Hawk demands a move, it will be an offseason one.

don't know what you have been watching. Shanle is second only to Vilma in tackles.

Shanle is garbage. He's a LB out there almost every down, who the frick else is going to be a team leader in tackles?

Haha, thanks. Its funny how most "fans" have to be told whether their players are good or not by someone who actually pays attention. They all wanted to hang Shanle when he was actually playing well for a few seasons, and then when he starts to suck, they all want to defend him
