Ginn is a proven vet and he will most certainly contribute to the offense this season. But, it does seem like every practice report I read mentions him dropping passes. Hope he gets them all out of his system before the season starts.

If he keeps dropping passes, like they are saying he is doing every practice and in this game, he will be cut.

How surprising that he dropped a touchdown pass

Yeah. After a full career of dropping balls, one preseason with the saints ought to fix it.

Everyone knows what they are getting with Ginn. He is a burner who will make a spectacular catch one play and then drop a sure TD the next. He's a veteran though and this receiving corp needs a proven vet.

And with the way Brees spreads the ball, it's not like Ginn will be targeted that much. If anything, he will probably be 3rd or 4th on the team (for receivers) in terms of receiving yards at the end of the year.

No, they don't. They have Drew Brees as a QB, and they're proven enough already. Lewis needs a chance to shine. He catches everything thrown his way.

It seems that Lewis could have filled the Cooks role. Hind sight is 20/20, had we known TommyLee Lewis' potential we could have saved Ginn's cap space. I think Ginn will have his share of wow plays and an equal share of wtf plays, but he isn't gone. With the emergence of Lewis and Coleman's maturation it clarifies our WR group. Pretty obvious it is now Thomas, Snead, Ginn, Coleman and Lewis.

Ginn isn't going anywhere this year. If this was a real game though, that TD was the difference. May get benched if some other WR continue to step up.

as long as he is running fast deep routes and getting double teamed by a corner and a safety while freeing up shorter or outside routes for drew Brees he can suck all he wants that's fine with me

Ginn ain't going anywhere, man, despite that bad drop Payton spoke highly of him. "What a great leader he is and he's having a great camp." He could drop 5 to 6 more balls and Payton would say the same shite. lol

He's proven that he can catch the ball when wide arse open. And if he continues doing what he has been doing then he'll make the 53 man roster. Ginn will be in the doghouse at some point, just saying.
