Me too.

I'm all for building through the draft, but it is going to be tough to find a WR #1 or a weapon like Bennett that can contribute quickly. I'd rather use the draft on pass rushers, who rarely hit FA, offensive line, and linebackers

Safer to me. I wouldn't give up anything higher than a 3rd for either one of them

That doesn't make sense. If the asking price is a 3rd or a 4th, you are saying you would pass up making the trade because you want to stockpile picks for next year's draft? Jeffery is a proven product, the draft pick is not. The trade would be the same as essentially drafting Jeffrey at that spot instead of an unknown/unproven player (Especially considering the teams inconsistency in drafting players).

Not exactly. You'd have to pay him and rookie contracts are valuable to teams

Guys, we are not talking about trading for a washed up vet or fringe player. Alshon Jeffery is a STUD. If we could get him for a 4th, you gotta do it. He is exactly what we need now and moving forward. He is the ideal replacement for Colston. This is an absolute no brainer. Take advantage of a team cleaning house.

r, but it really feels like a bad move for a team that already has problems with big players being out.

This is the first time he's missed a game in the past 3 seasons and it is a hamstring

But he's a free agent next year right? And expected to make a nice amount of money. Doesn't seem like a good investment

Trade our picks to get these guys. We suck at drafting anyway.

You'd have this season to negotiate with him. I think we would be in the $10-12 million range, but likely less guaranteed.
That's a position you don't mind paying for as good WR are hard to come by. I don't think they're letting him go

6'3" 216. Only 25 years old. That's a piece you don't mind investing in, even after Drew leaves in 3 years. He's a great blocker and a redzone threat

Rumor has it the bears would want a 1st for Jeffery, and being where we will probably end up drafting, I'd rather keep the pick.

Would definitely explore a trade for Bennett

Yea, I wouldn't touch that

A 3rd is the highest I'd go

I would have agreed with you until they Cleaned house and had this past draft. I think they're in good hands moving forward

I think we are as well... But im still a little skeptical. But its not like grabbing FAs has worked out well either.
