Carolina did it a year ago
Atlanta did it this year

What's also possible is that ATL will be crushed by this loss and fall apart a la 2016 Panthers.

Of course it is, especially with Brees. Look at some of our losses last year. First game lose on a PI on Robertson that shouldn't have been called. We had close games. Our last couple drafts have been good aside from injuries derailed our 2015 draft. We just need to keep drafting D, and have a smart FA this year. Grab one of the top Gs and top SLBs, move Anthony back to MLB either as a backup, or as a starter and put Robertson back at WLB. Or go after the top CB, and grab second tier G in FA. I can understand overpaying for a CB since we did have our entire depth chart wiped out at that position. Honestly I hope we don't though.

I mean we did finish the year with guys we signed in weeks 1 and 2 as our starting CBs and somehow were a few breaks away from being a really good team.
If that isn't on the verge I don't know what is. And with $40 mil plus in cap space we'll be able to sign a few impact players.
May as well go all in if this really might be Brees' last year here.
Also I'm predicting the first to last trend holds up in our division this year like the last to first trend did a few years back. Hopefully we break it though.
